Product Description

Glaze Effects are translucent water based colors used to create beautiful decorative finishes such as distressing, marble, shabby chic, burnishing, color washing, rag rolling and wood graining. Use over Water Based Wood Stains, and Milk Paints. Glaze Effects can be inter-mixed or layered to create custom colors. They may also be layered over one another to create deeper, richer looks. It highly recommended to utilize Extender to increase open time and workability.

Took a while to receive. When I finally called to find out where my order was, I was told that it was damaged in shipping. I only waited over a week before I called and found this out. When I was ready to use it, I found a bunch of crap floating around in it. Then when I wiped the lid off there was a bunch more. This must have been sitting around for quit awhile.

I like it. I did not finish the entire kitchen because still weighting out if I should......Our cabinets are pretty bitten up. The are gaps between them, the doors are somewhat warped, etc.... But I tried it on one door from the cabinet that we discarded after our new fridge did not fit..... The process was really easy. I cleaned it, lightly sanded, and put 3 coats of milk paint . It was a nice off white color. Then I applied a glaze by the same brand, which was really fun to learn (from the GF video). After that 3 coats of GF poly acrylic in satin. To my opinion, it dried pretty hard and will be quite durable. After I let it cure, I tried to "destroy" the finish by scratching to see how will it resist everyday use. Pretty great results. I decided to write this review in hope to help somebody to make a decision.... I include the pictures "before and after".

Works well but definitely not worth the price tag. There are MUCH less expensive brands and off brands that work just as well. Glazes are pretty straight forward and although not all are created equal, the margin of difference is pretty narrow. So I'm not sure what additional benefit I expected from this (overpriced) brand.
