Product Description
Rebound 25 is an easy-to-use platinum-cure silicone rubber which self-thickens for making brush-on molds of almost any model. Mixed 1A:1B by volume (no scale necessary), Rebound rubber can be applied with a brush or spatula to vertical surfaces without sagging and will cure with negligible shrinkage to a flexible rubber.

I did a 2 part plaster shell over it, then cleaned and dusted the inside of the silicone mold with baby powder for my cast. I used Smooth-On 65D resin for the"slushcast".

PS: If you look at my history I very rarely give out 5 stars.
Update- decided not to stop with one skull. Used a total of 3-1/2 kits to make 2 whole skull molds, one jawless mold, one flat back skull and one jaw mold. I used a gallon kit of Polymer planet 2lb urethane expanding foam and on my first run got 29 skulls. There is a learning curve to both the mold making process and the 2 part foam. I feel like now I could do it all again with just 3 kits and get 35-40 skulls with a gallon kit. I’m making a massive catacomb like faux bone pile so I don’t need them super dense. This worked well and puts me at about $2 per skull when it’s all said and done.

it's very strong. But DO NOT use with sulfur-based plastelene. The cure will be inhibited and the Rebound will remain sticky. You will have to make a "mother mold" over the Rebound because it is too floppy to support itself. However, for casting very small pieces I have poured the Rebound into small containers such as paper cups. Then the thickness of the wall of Rebound is sturdy enough for casting alone.
REALLY easy 50/50 mix. no fumes really. It is messy but that's expected. It seemed a daunting process but it was more time consuming. Needs an hour between coats at least. pulled right off my original. I couldn't find my spray release so i used a bit of vaseline (found the release as I was cleaning up of course) The mold after 3 coats came off easy. It was a bit thin so I put it back on the original and globbed on thicker layers. Haven't used it yet to pour... will update
The details of the stone are perfectly matched and the wall looks like the way it should have been 25 years ago.
