Played this on PS4 and my son was excited to see this on Switch so he can play it again. He has the switch lite so definitely works well on that if anyone is wondering. If you aren’t familiar with this game you start out as a character and choose to be a knight, archer or mage and then you go around helping build the portals between the fractured lands and help residents on your quest. You beat bosses and enemies and can build and customize lands. I consider it to be a sort of mashup of Minecraft/Terraria and Animal crossing. It’s a fun game for everyone in my house. We played co-op on PS4 a lot. A few things are different in this version than that but still the same great game and maybe better some. I highly recommend.

Updated review after updating the software. The initial build was buggy: the controllers wouldn’t connect to the game, although they worked with every other game and the Nintendo main menus.
Overall fun Minecraft/Dungeon Crawler game. My kids love playing together on split screen. You need 4 joy-cons for 2-player, the package is wrong by showing just 2 mini-joycons that can be used for 2-player mode, that’s just not the case. And you can only add a second player during character select. It’s annoying that Nintendo games don’t come with any basic instructions anymore and the websites have virtually no support or nothing for owners to reference.

Great Minecraftian fun. The RPG aspect is a nice touch, but I wish there was more diversity to it. And it does get pretty repetitive after a dozen hours or two. My biggest gripe (and hence the 4 stars) is that (on the Switch, at least) I absolutely dread traveling because it takes so long. Especially with multiple players. (Not local.) If it were all one continuous world, it would be perfect. Still, great fun for what it is and it's easy to recommend given the dearth of multiplayer co-op games out there.
