    When the case came in the mail there was a little rip in the side of the case i honestly do not care since i only got this to protect my phone from falls i still though noticed that this case let clear audio come out and unlike other water proof cases i can actually send and receive calls from my family.The case is nice but it cannot enter water which if not known defeats the purpose of buying a WATER PROOF Case

    I bought this case thinking it was for the iPhone SE 2020, and realized when it arrived that it's actually for the "iPhone 7 ONLY". I was so bummed that I had to deal with a return, but looked online and the iPhone 7 is only EVER SO SLIGHTLY smaller than the SE. I decided to give it a try anyway and it fit just fine! Snug, but fine. I think Lifeproof says this won't fit the SE because they can't guarantee it will keep a different-sized phone waterproof, and I get that. But the short version was, it fit, and while on vacation this was in my pocket when I jumped into a river pool, I had it in my hands getting misted on while standing by a waterfall, and used it in the rain. I was definitely afraid to fully submerge it intentionally, but my phone came out of all those scenarios working just fine! I like that you can use your own touch screen with it. I also noticed that sound was dulled with the case on, but as long as it was protected I didn't care. The only frustration I really had with it was I have long nails and the home button indent/crater was really hard for me to activate with my thumb. But small price to pay for the protection it offered.

    I recently bought a LifeProof case on the recommendation of a friend who has had a reputation of drunkenly falling in pools and ruining her cell phone. I have recently taken up kayaking, and thought it might be a good idea to have one in case I wanted to take pictures while on the lake or river.

    Over Labor Day, I unexpectedly hit a patch of white water that had not been on the river on past trips. Recent rain had made the river high, and exceedingly fast. My kayak tipped. The phone came out of my dry bag, and sunk to the bottom of the river. I searched and searched, but could not find it. I was disappointed, and resigned to the fact that my iPhone "slept with the fishes". It was gone, done for. I went to the store and had to pay $700 out of pocket to pay off the phone and finance a new one. Se la vie.

    Fast forward two weeks. I'm heading up camping, and I receive a phone call. It was from a man I did not know. He said that he had lost his key fob in the same area of the river a few days after I had lost my phone. The river was still high, and he couldn't find it. He waited a week and went back. Not only did he find his key fob, he found six cell phones. Only one of them worked. It was mine.

    The case, after a week and a half in the river, was totally gross. Covered in slime and all sorts of nastiness. He pried it off, and low and behold, my "lost cell phone" was inside, perfectly dry. He charged it, and boom, it turned right on. No signs of being underwater for that long at all. He hit the emergency button on the unlock screen, found my mom's cell phone number, and texted her. She sent him my number, and now I have my lost phone back.

    I was able to return the replacement phone and get my $700 back. I'm back to my old phone, and just ordered a new LifeProof case. I rarely write reviews on Amazon, because I'm rarely overly impressed by a product. This is another matter entirely. I feel like I'm writing a public service announcement. Save your phone, save your money. If you are accident prone, spend time on the water, or are concerned about your phone's case's ability to protect it, this is the only brand of case for you. Even though the case was destroyed, it was the fallen soldier, jumping on the grenade to save my iPhone. Amazing product. Highly recommend.

    This is my third purchase of this case. I love it and highly recommend it!

    PROS
    - I drop my phone constantly. My kids have thrown it as hard as they can on the floor. I have never had a screen crack or a phone break.
    - Super protective but still has a slim profile
    - My toddler threw my phone in the bathtub, it sank to the bottom. I grabbed it out and opened the case to dry off my phone and it was completely dry.
    - love that you can see the Apple logo design on the back of the phone through the clear back.

    TRADE-OFFS
    - I have no issue with talking on the phone in the normal, typical way, but the case makes it hard for people to hear my when I am talking on speaker phone. I get around this by using a headset of the Apple headphones to take hand free calls.

    - listening to music on the phone speaker means hearing some reverberation of the case. Solution - just use a WiFi speaker

    - I replaced my case after a year because the plastic over the camera was too scratched and was effecting picture quality. This is cheaper than replacing my phone.

    - it can be hard to swipe from the bottom sometimes, you have to swipe on the sides not the center of the bottom, where the case exposes the edge.

    Just received my new case yesterday. I love it even more than I thought I would. Its not nearly as bulky was other lifeproof cases that I have owned in the past and I really like the feel of the smooth, clear back of the case when I am holding my phone. The mermaid color is definitely more of a light minty green than a light teal or turquoise but it has grown on me and I have already gotten several compliments on it. Plus is looks great with my white/silver iPhone 7.

    Prior to purchasing it, I read several reviews that said its hard to hear during calls and that it is hard to access the dashboard menu from the bottom of the screen - but I have not had any issues with either. I was able to hear people just fine and they haven't had any complaints about being able to hear me. As long as you swipe up from either the left or right side of the home button the dashboard menu comes up just fine for me.

    I wish that there were better color options overall for the Nuud as they all seem fairly childish but I was able to find one that I didn't absolutely hate. I also wish that you could buy the alpha glass screen protector for Nuud separately instead of in a $140 bundle directly from Lifeproof. I do have a teqii mini2 glass for Nuud screen protector on the way, hopefully it fits well enough to not bother me too much.
