Service lady in a Covid world
I work as a service person inside of people's homes. I have always used public restrooms, but never liked the idea. I always teased wanted a Porto potty behind my truck. Then Covid... all public restrooms are closed and forget about asking a customer to use theirs. I read reviews and was scared of the ones that leak water, so bought this. I flipped one of my back seats up in my pickup truck and made a drape from PVC and a sheet that I hang from the clothing hooks. I keep a pour container (from Walmart) of odorless clumping kitty litter and use garbage bags as liners. This is hands down the BEST purchase EVER! I just pull over in a neighborhood, get into the back seat, hang my preassembled curtain, do my business and drop the curtain. I also keep instant soap and water to wash my hands with and a roll of paper towels. The back seat pockets hold all of my supplies nicely. My husband and I went on our annual vacation last week to the World's Longest Yard Sale. He is a camel and never has to go to the bathroom. There is no doubt in my mind this toilet saved us 2 hours of stopping time as it was a 10 hour drive each way. When someone else is in the car there is a strategy of knowing when to roll the window down and tying the bag up (or double bagging!). The more I used it, the better I got at it. I did buy some Eco Gel, but it smells like an ostemy bag or nursing home and lingers. As we were strolling through the antique booths I heard no less than a dozen times people complain about all of the public restrooms being closed. Really? Huh... didn't notice. Welcome to the world of Rona. When the Rona is over I will continue to use this toilet. It is a girl's best friend! When pulled over a few days ago I saw a man pull over and head out to the woods. I guess it would be a guy's best friend also, but he will have to read my review 😁 My son the cop pointed out to me that practice can be dangerous near a school as it is public indecency which can lead to law breaking. I am 5'6" and about 170lbs give or take. I don't feel the toilet is too tall or short. I keep the toilet draped with a separate sheet so I can both be discreet when a customer walks out to the truck with me and because it is nice to use as cushion under my knees as I drop my drawers and reassemble. I would not hesitate to purchase this little lifesaver again. If anything good came out of Covid, it was this amazing toilet 🚻 Nope, not gonna thank Covid

So I got mine in a few days early on shipping, got to use it the next day and am totally happy with it. Reasons being is that I have an RV that I am trying to fix up and I live in and the black tank needs to be replaced, so it has been a challenge to use the bathroom. So this is a GREAT temporary fix. I am a big man, over 300 lbs and WOW it does hold my weight, of course don't just plop on it, sit down gently. I am going to put something underneath it to raise it 4 inches cause it is a bit to low, which is NOTHING to complain about. Super easy to clean and has a really good depth for the bin. comfy to sit on and I did not install the seat cover, not really needed for me. Will definitely buy another one later on for when I go out camping. I thought to use a 5 or 7 gallon bucket with the Luggable Loo toilet seat attachment, but the buckets are not reliable as much.

My biggest worry was: as a fairly big guy, would this work for me, or would I be worried about damaging the thing? I can say that it worked just fine. I'm not saying it will take abuse, but I did not fear for it or my safety!

As for how to best deal with the output: The secret is to keep the material dry. We used a specimen collector to separate urine from solid material, and a bit of cedar shavings (1/2 a cup or so) per use. We also used the potty gel stuff, but without the urine it didn't really do anything: if you use the urine separator, you don't need it. Smell was minimal and went away as it dried -- were usually able to empty it at the end of the day, but it wasn't a pressing issue to do so.

My only complaint is that it's relatively short. It's probably about 6 inches lower than a conventional home toilet. Of course, it's also pretty large as it is: I wouldn't have wanted to devote more space to a bigger toilet, so you're going to have to compromise somewhere. It wasn't uncomfortable to use, just different.

That's the biggest thing to keep in mind for a positive experience. This is not a home running-water-and-sewer toilet made portable; it is a portable toilet. It works differently, and you will need to work with it on its terms. But if you do so, it's a very effective choice, and the price is outstanding. And a toilet like this, if you keep things as dry as possible, is *way* easier to use and maintain than one that involves water in any way.

I bought this 2 years ago for my hunting blind having been tired of balancing myself on a bucket from Home Depot that said "let's do this" for many years became a chore. So I bought this, upon receiving it, it was sturdy enough for my 370lbs frame, not all fat and not all muscle, but I was unable to give it a test run at home because I'm certain the girlfriend would be disappointed and disgusted no matter where the trial run would have been done. In my dry test I found I needed to raise it about 2 inches so I did with a wood frame. I brought it out to my hunting blind with some kitchen garbage bags and set it up real nice, but for 2 years nature failed to call while having access to it, but this year a steady diet of sauerkraut with hot peppers made a emergency call whilst just walking in the woods. I carefully walked to my blind knowing I was not going to make it to camp. So, now for the review, this was awesome, I had never pooped in the woods so comfortably in 24+ years of hunting, for a fleeting moment I had all the questions answered in the universe and was one with everything on a molecular level, alas the moment had passed and all was forgotten. effortlessly able to clean up afterwards without worries of falling off with mud butt. Plenty of knuckle room so they don't look like you scrapped them across nutella. Worked wonderfully. Recommend getting it if you're not sure.

I am using this for my day home. For coming in quickly to use the washroom from the outdoors. Instead of running into the washroom. During potty training this is great! And easy to leave for a min until you can clean it out. I’m getting the bags for better quicker cleaning as well. But this is exactly want I wanted.

Convenient for when water isn't in our trailer. I am 5"2 and I find this toilet sits low, will b making a raised platform before winter camping. I placed a garbage bag inside for easy clean up and it worked great. Pail isn't heavy when full and was easy to carry.

We use this at the cottage during the winter when the lake freezes. It's great! It's lightweight and portable, so anyone saying it's not a full toilet....well no that's the point. But it's sturdy enough for a 5'10" 250lb man to use with ease. Line it with a garbage bag and you're good to go. Easy to clean. Great for the price!
