- CLEANING AFTER USE: LET THE COOKWARE COOL. PLACING HOT COOKWARE IN COLD WATER WILL DAMAGE THE IRON AND MAY CAUSE CRACKING OR WARPING. WASH WITH A BRUSH AND HOT WATER. DO NOT USE SOAP OR DETERGENTS. DO NOT WASH CAST IRON IN A DISHWASHER.
- AFTER CLEANING IMMEDIATELY DRY WITH A TOWEL WHILE STILL WARM, REAPPLY ANOTHER LIGHT COAT OF OIL.

Solid but lopsided
So I just opened it up and here's what I like. It is definitely heavy duty and has a good solid cast iron weight to it. Very easy to assemble, I only had to tighten a couple wing nuts.What I don't like and you can see from my pictures, is the unevenness of it. It closes firmly on the hinge side while leaving a varying gap all the way to the handle side. The handle doesn't go flush to the top like the old one I use to use. Maybe that has something to do with the gap? If you don't mind your tortillas being lopsided then this will be a good fit. If they would fix this issues it would be a great piece and I would purchase them for my daughters and sister.I am going to try it and see if it really makes that much of a difference. I will update my review afterwards.

This press was exactly like I was expecting, even a little better. It is heavy duty cast iron, and presses a beautiful tortilla. My family is also happy with my purchase since they get perfect homemade tortillas!
