This is a simple product with a simple purpose. It does it well.

I bought this over similar products for two reasons. First, value. There are a dozen shakers for the same price as 3-4 with other products. Second, constructions. My old shakers were chrome-plated steel. Surprise surprise, the plating flakes off after months or years of use and it starts rusting. I went to replace them, and some products still have coated steel instead of stainless. Stick with stainless. Stainless steel will outlive me.

Cleaning is a tiny hassle. I put the glass part in the top rack of the dishwasher, but the lids are too light and flip over and partially fill with soapy water. So I just hand wash them. I don't think there is a way to avoid this issue, as the lids are going to be very light no matter what. That is not enough to remove a star, just something to be aware of.

Now I have a whole bunch of extra shakers I don't need. I guess backup in case I break one?
