I love this grater. It's very sharp and the shape makes it easy to hold and grate onto a plate or into a bowl. The blue color is really pretty, too. I like that it's eco-friendly as well. I haven't put it in the dishwasher yet so I hope it holds up in there. I'm thinking of purchasing another one with for finer grating. Definitely worth the money and so much better than a box grater.

I guess course means different things to different people...

I was looking for a course grater to grate soft cheese for pizzas etc
This grater although - nominally called a course grater - is definitely a fine grating plane.

Handle is comfortable and sturdy and very happy that it's more bamboo than plastic.
Not sure what the binder is, but certainly better than 100% plastic.
Every little bit of eco consciousness helps!

Got this to replace an older microplane. I like that it has the bamboo handle. It still grates cheese, ginger etc. as well as ever. I like that the handle encases the blade, which makes it a bit more stable than the one I had previously. So far I haven't noticed any cons to this model or the bamboo handle.
