Chelsea Johnson was born and raised in Colorado. After moving to Utah for college, she met her husband, Dan, and eleven months later they were married. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Family Life with an emphasis in Family Studies and a minor in Anthropology. In 2013 she started writing "Life With My Littles," her blog all about pregnancy and parenting. It steadily grew and has become a popular mommy blog for new and seasoned moms alike. In 2018 she published her first book, "Preggers," a straightforward, candid, informative, relatable, laugh out loud guide to pregnancy. Chelsea loves Harry Potter, pizza, running, and the color pink. She and her husband Dan currently live in Minnesota with their three children.

As a mother who has been through pregnancy and birth twice before, it was still helpful for me to read through to remind myself what's coming, what to pack for the hospital, and what to include in my birth plan for my next baby. I can tell you this book didn't leave anything useful out. It's all there and it's all written in language you can understand. As an added bonus, you'll be chuckling along the way. The author is really informed... I've been to her blog (she has an awesome mommy blog on pregnancy and parenting) and her blog posts are always top notch. Since I love her blog so much, I decided to check her book out too and it did not disappoint!

I chose to read this book to get an understanding of pregnancy and the journey. Overall, it's a cute book with some jokes and good amount of info. Although it was repetitive and almost too simple of a read, I did enjoy learning about Chelsea's life. However, if you've read most of the blog, you've pretty much read the book.

Funny, but honest, a great read!

I read preggers along with my second pregnancy, and read each section as that stage was happening to me. I laughed out loud a lot and cried alongside Chelsea, who wrote in a way that made me feel like her best friend. When your pregnant, you need that! I hated What to Expect, because it just wasn’t my style, but Chelsea tells it like it is, while still being fun and honest. Definitely recommend!

The most witty & entertaining pregnancy book!

I had the best of times reading this pregnancy book. It truly is unlike all the others I have read. The entire book is witty, engaging, and you can't put it down. Pregnancy can be a daunting thing, but this book takes the edge off and makes the journey a fun, humorous adventure. I love how Chelsea is able to connect through her readers. While reading, you feel like you're chatting with a close friend, yet you are being informed along the way. I definitely recommend this to any "soon to be Mama" or "veteran Mom's" out there! I highly recommend!

I loved this book! I’m currently pregnant and found the book informative but written in a way that was fun to read and made me feel like I wasn’t alone! If you are looking to get pregnant, are pregnant, or have a friend who is pregnant (it would be a great gift) then I would definitely recommend this book! Chelsea’s writing makes you feel like you’re talking to a friend and that is exactly what you need when you’re pregnant!

Not your typical, boring pregnancy book!

I loved reading Preggers! It felt like my sister was talking to me about pregnancy instead of reading a book written by an old man (which is the case in plenty of other pregnancy books). There are too many parts of pregnancy or post partum that people don’t talk about much (post partum depression and pooping after childbirth for example) and Preggers talks about it! This was a fun read for me and I am excited to pass it on to my sister in law who is expecting her first baby!
