These are completely useless the way they come. The tape is not only weak, but it is too thin and not positioned in a way that it will stick at all. Luckily I had some 3m double sided tape that I placed in better spots in order to get them to stick. Once I did that they were good to go and definitely cleans up the look of the interior.

There is really no practical reason to get this item. For me, it was a question for fit and finish. I love the Tundra. It is heavy duty and nicely appointed and touches right up to plush without going over the line. The exposed seat mount bolt are really just one of those curiosities for me. Why, on such a nice truck, that cost more than any other vehicle I have personally purchased, do they leave these exposed like they do on a car costing less than half of what this truck costs. It just seems weird, but that's feedback for Toyota. So back to these. They are simple bits of molded plastic . They are just covers for the area, no clips or anything like that. They have some double faced tape on them, but it's not enough to keep them stuck. The box contained a small roll of 3M double faced tape so the installation was to cut pieces of tape, stick them to the seat mount brackets, peel off the other side of the tape (and the tape on the cover) and stick them down. Hold them for a moment and then move on to the next one. Since then, they have not moved, so time will tell if the tape fades or something, but for now they hold in place fine. Simple enough.

They mounted on the passenger side very well, but the drivers side they wouldn't stick. Don't know if the drivers side has a different angle on the bracket, but it took a heat gun and some finessing to get them to stick. We'll see how long they stay stuck. I can always apply some 3M tape if they fall off. Not that pleased, but they do look nice.

I don't want to say that the product is bad, but be prepared for the tape to potentially not work at all. All in all, I'm pretty disappointed.

These look good once they are on. Getting them on involves removing the defective tape installed from the factory and the reinstalling the 3M tape that comes with the covers. They don’t fit really well and I fear they will pop off and fall out of the truck before I realize they are gone. I should not have to correct their tape issues for them.
Update: I’ve had these on for about a month and they are a pain in the rear! Changed my stars from 3 to one. I’m past the return time so my only solution might be to put a couple sheet metal screws in each one because tape is NOT the answer! Looking at all the low number of stars, Amazon, how can the total rating be so high? The math doesn’t work!
