Primarily known as a Hong Kong actor whose career began in the mid-'80s, Lui Fong is also an accomplished if underrated singer of pop music. He began his career as a television actor, appearing in the multi-part TVB series Police Cadet during the mid- to late '80s. This was also the beginning of his singing career, as he sung the Police Cadet theme songs. He continued working for TVB as an actor in subsequent years, singing the theme songs to Siblings of Ice and Virtue (1985), The Flying Fox on Snowy Mountain (1985), The Partner (1993), and Kindred Spirit (1997). He also appeared in various Hong Kong films and released occasional pop albums, but he never became an especially popular singer, some say because he lacked star looks. ~ Jason Birchmeier
