Can't say enough good things about this. So much fun.

Can't say enough good things about this. So much fun.
Choose your own adventure books were always my favorite things to do growing up. This is a CYOA book combined with a very basic D&D ruleset. However, it's great for both kids and adults. The drawings are colorful and cartoony, the replayability is great, you need to really look at each picture in depth because you can find hidden passageways. If I had one suggestion it would be to make it longer and add more items to get. This is a great gift!

My 7-year-old nephew likes to read DogMan comic book and loves to do puzzles, mazes, and search and find books.
This book reminds me a little bit of those Goosebumps books I used to read as a kid where you could choose your own ending.
I loved those books!
This book also has where you choose your own ending.
I used to read the book one way then go back and re-read the book with another ending.
Looking back at it now, how genius!
Comparing how different decisions result in different outcomes is a good lesson for kids to learn.
This book is appropriate for my niece
that is 10.
I don’t like that the text is so small, but there is a lot packed into all the pages.

This is like the old school D&D adventure books my sister and I would read as a kid BUT BETTER!! Here you can customize your adventurer BEFORE you start reading. Then you make choices and the story moves along based on those. The art work is great, the books are easy to follow along to for pretty much any age group, younger children may need help setting it up but what a great way to get mom/dad / loved one to read with you. Fantastic gift and I am so excited to learn of these.

This is a fun comic book that you can play as it says. It reminds me of some of the choose your own adventure type book and also tabletop/role play games because you have pen and paper and play through the story and get to choose different paths or storylines to follow.
I love these kinds of books that are also a game. They're interactive, entertaining and can just be lots of fun! My husband introduced me to some of these types of books and games after we were married and now they are some of my favorite things to play and read sometimes.
If you like comic books, the Knights Club, Choose your own adventure types of stories, tabletop games, etc. then this is a book you'll want to check out that you can enjoy!

I love that there are multiple variations that can be selected by the reader in this comic book series. The book can change with each different choice that results in different endings. There is a scorecard included in the book or you can download more from the online resource provided.

Perfectly giftable.

My 8 year old loves these books. Unfortunately, like book 2, this one is marred by some pretty serious mistakes in the English edition (I don't have the French for reference, but at least in book 2 the errors were introduced in the translation).

1. The biggest one is panel 24, which has a puzzle asking you to multiply 22 by three. The symbol signalling the solution is nowhere to be found in the entire book. After some serious digging, I believe the problem is that it should be *divide* by three, and the correct panel to jump to is panel 7. (Ignore the remainder, I guess?) The omission of the symbol is the real killer here.

2. Also, the archer's stats are wrong, having been copied from Karinka. It should be agility 13, strength 8, intelligence 10, not all 10s.

3. XP and SP are mixed up a couple times at various points. You can usually figure this out from context.

Miss playing D&D with a group? Jonesing for a few hours of Pathfinder and you're stuck in a hotel or on airplane? Got a gamer kid you need to keep content for an hour or so? You're gonna love this. This is a throwback kind of adventure-for-one where you make decisions, flip the book pages to where it says to go (follow you own adventure style), read and react. Except this go round is visual, a comic book, and the player has to track their current abilities and status. There are plenty of fairly fun puzzles and your mistakes can cost your avatar it's life. It's a little thin on content.

You can download extra "Quest Tracker" pages so you don't have to mar up the book or break the spine to photocopy it. It's not exactly hard to make your own notes on a piece of paper using actual numbers instead of little squares to keep track. Clearly aimed at the younger set, it still entertains most adults I've shown it too. Since there are four character choices, you can "play" the book again as someone else. It's a bit of a Novelty act, but not a bad one.

The last thing I give a lot of credit to this book for creating, is that it can allow a young mind struggling with math a chance to work out some critical core function thinking without getting them to be aware they are doing math. Much like Monopoly can take a lot of credit over a few generations of teaching kids to count while also secretly making them divide, multiply, and even factor a little bit, this kind of material might nudge a reluctant learner at core math skills into a successful one.

My children love games of all types. I try to encourage them to read as much as possible. This is one type of book they love to read. This is part game and part book. The story is engaging and even my 19 year old son has been seen picking this book up for a quick read. I i will be picking up other books in this series after seeing how much my children have enjoyed this series.

My 8-year-old son loves this Knights Club book. It is a graphic novel, choose your own adventure novel with added gamification. He loves that you can "read" and "play" the book over and over again and get something new every time. My son is a bright kid and he really enjoys tabletop board games and reading, so this book is perfect for him. It holds his attention and keeps him thinking. I highly recommend it!

Arrived on time and in great condition. Fun adventure, great book 3. My only comment is to use a d8 to determine your combat, it's better in my opinion than just spinning the dial(as in the book)
