Loved this story and wish I could score higher than 5 stars, but alas I can’t! Love Ezra and Rayleigh and I look forward to seeing what mischief Camryn her bestie gets up too😍
The clueless coach and the accident prone invisible woman.
Frustration and love :) I couldn't love this book more than I did.
Lani has yet again written such an interesting story and the twist I didn't see coming was such a shocker.
Highly recommended
Loving the start of a new series and can’t wait for more.
Raleigh has had a longtime crush on Ezra, has worked at the same school with him for a few years, but it seems that this year is THE year he finally notices her. With all her clumsiness on display, he is entranced with this woman.
Ezra was the popular captain of the football team in high school, all-star, great guy that realizes he was an oblivious idiot in his younger years when he finally takes notice of the beautiful teacher that has to take over teaching his sex-ed class so he can focus on coaching. Not realizing that they were in school together and that he should know her, he sets his sights on her, drawn to her clumsy, gorgeous ways like he never has been before.
Well-written and well-paced, this story has all the awesomeness of a typical Lani Lynn Vale book without as much of the danger that is sometimes prevalent for some of her characters. The audio is sexy as sin with Ava Erickson and Jacob Morgan bringing these characters to life. Loved it! Enjoy!
is just so accident prone it basically bordered on the ridiculous. And I loved every moment of it. But
underneath all her crazy is such a genuine and beautiful person. Life in general is hard for her, but
whoever fell for Raleigh was lucky to have her.
And then there is Ezra. The man she has crushed on for what seems like her whole life. Only he
never knew she existed. That was until she crashed into his life. Literally. This was uproariously
funny. Unfortunately I was at work sneaking in a quick read when I read this part. That was hard to
explain as to why I just burst out into laughter.
This is the start of a new series, and hopefully I don’t have to wait too long for the next story. Lani
has proven yet again as to why I am almost giddy with excitement whenever I am able to get my
hands on her next book.

Like the ninny I am, I read this series out of order, but it didn't even matter in the grand scheme of things. These books truly do read as standalones. I did find this one to be a more well-rounded and developed story than the ones that followed it, which only made me enjoy it more.
This is the story of Raleigh and Ezra. She's crushed on him for most of her life. He didn't even know she existed until recently. She hero-worshipped him and he didn't know how much weight his kind words and actions carried with her. While she was mooning over the most popular guy in school, the football star, he vaguely knew she was there. Nothing she did got his attention until she was a grown woman who embarrassed herself in front of the man of her dreams. And he could never look away from her again.
I loved how the author illustrated the growth of these characters. Raleigh may still have been the awkward, accident-prone, hot mess of a person as she was growing up, but she had evolved into an incredible woman with so much heart. However, it was Ezra whose strength of character shined the most. He went from being an oblivious jock to an amazing, intuitive, compassionate man. The ways in which he cared for Raleigh had me swooning all over the place. She owned him every bit as much as he owned her!
And again, with this story, Lani Lynn Vale has proven why I will be one of her staunchest supporters. She gave me a story full of heart, heat and humor that I was only sad because it ended. Luckily there are still tons of her books I have yet to read and I'm going to happily make my way through them. Who knows? Maybe I'll even get to see these charming characters again 😊😊

LLV has the inane ability to draw you in deep and fast and put you in a position to where you feel as if you are a part of the world she has carefully crafted. First of all, Raleigh. It's the town I have lived in my entire life, so right off the bat I was in love. I don't think I have ever read a more clumsy, fallible, and lovable character in my life. She was endearing to the point you wanted to wrap her in a cocoon and fight all her battle for her. While underneath she certainly possessed a strength most didn't see, I loved how vulnerable she was and I especially loved that Ezra recognized that (well, when he finally noticed her that is). I enjoyed that most of the setting took place in a school. We don't have enough books written about our unsung heroes and I loved that it was the setting she chose. We were able to fall in love with them in the halls and classrooms and ball fields all while having the added dynamics of the students and other teachers.
But above everything else, I just really loved the chemistry between Raleigh and Ezra. I appreciated that he had to work for it and she didn't just fall over for him (well, I mean she physically did, but she made him work for the rest). I loved that there was no BS. Once they both realized what was there, that was it. Between the tender moments and explosive ones, I lived for them all! They were both genuinely good people who cared about their community and doing better for those around them. They could have both gone on to bigger things, but both wanted to stay in the community that raised them. The community where they had roots.
LLV did an excellent job setting up the rest of this series with many side characters and even more possibilities of pairings. I cannot wait to see where the next few books take us. I have my suspicions, but I will eagerly wait with everyone else to see if I'm right.

Raleigh is a teacher, in a small southern town. Everyone knows everyone, everyone went to school together, and everyone knows everyone else's business, good and bad! She teaches high school in her home town, and wouldn't have it any other way. But, simply put, Raleigh is a menace! As sweet and likable as she is, she's beyond clumsy! It's like she has a little black rain cloud over her all the time, and Murphy sits on her shoulder, waiting to embarrass her. But she also considers herself invisible, a wallflower, someone who sits on the sidelines of life, watching it go by. Until, one day, her clumsiness puts her front and center, right in front of the man that has had her attention forever, the same man who never even knew she existed!
Ezra is THAT guy! You know the one I'm talking about. He was the star football player in high school and college, then returned to his hometown to be the Football and Baseball Coach and most loved teacher. Literally, everyone loves him! But he is absolutely clueless! But that is what makes him so lovable! And when he realizes what is right in front of him, things go from 0 to 100! (I love insta-love!)
If I could sum this book up in one though, it's that while Fate works in mysterious ways, she also works in her own time. Raleigh and Ezra grew up together, their entire lives, going to school together, being in classes together, and nothing ever happened. Until one day...... It's absolutely crazy how things work out, but it sure makes for a fantastic story! I absolutely loved the connection between Ezra and Raleigh, how perfect they were together, how they balanced each other out, and how real they were! Neither were over the top bada**es, like you see in a lot of stories, but there was a level of realism, of sincerity and truthfulness to them that took this story to another level. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this book, and how I'm eagerly anticipating the next story! (On a side note, I totally adored Morgan, and hope we see more of him in the future, Maybe he will get his own HEA?!? )
