I have 2 puppies (7 month old tiny sheltie about 11 pounds & a 4 month old-going to be a monster dog - Sheltie/Aussie Mx). Our small sheltie is super picky on what she will eat (she barely eats anything), and our monster dog eats EVERYTHING (no exceptions) - he doesn't really eat/chew he inhales everything. But regardless, they both love this food and their hair looks amazing - I mean AMAZING. When we first got both of them they were fluff balls, but their hair was dull and had no shine. Now its completely different. Our tiny sheltie has beautiful shinny sheltie hair (she is tri-colored) and our Monster boy (aussie/sheltie) has pretty much Aussie hair and it is super soft and shinny black. He feels like a cotton ball. Everyone wants to pet him cause his hair feels so soft and fluffy.I love that this food is all natural, grain free and local made (I'm in Texas). Had a Border Collie Rescue recommend this food and all of their dogs looked great. It is a bit pricy, but getting it on Amazon or Chewy.com is much cheaper than getting it at the local pet store. I have Amazon prime so the shipping is zero.

Brought our puppy home from breeder at 8 weeks. He was so gassy..and I hoped it would go away. The breeder must have given these dogs crap food.
Only took a few days on Merrick to see night and day difference. No gas, solid , non-smelly poops and diarrhea went away immediately after..

A few weeks later:
Thought I would try another premium brand to give the pup some variety...he would not touch that stuff and forced himself to eat it. I tried for two days and meantime, just ordered another bag of Merricks. Once he got a bowl of his favorite stuff..he ate it in one big gulp.
He's had no digestive or pooping issues.
Of course I give him human food in between.....some boiled chicken and pork chops a few times a week . That combo with Merricks kibble keeps my little pig happy and healthy.

I bought this for my new Shih Tzu puppy. He absolutely LOVES this food and we’ve compared it to Pedigree Puppy, Putin’s Puppy and Rachel Rays Puppy formula. This beats all of these puppy foods by leaps and bounds! He eats it out of my hand, piece by piece, just like he is being fed dog treats or deli sliced turkey bites even! Also, my adult dogs are crazy about it too!! This food must taste like filet mignon to all dogs!!
I do think it’s quite pricey, however! Not sure I’ll continue this food throughout his life but will use the first year. My vet recommends Purina One Rice and Lamb and I feel confident in weighing all factors, including quality of ingredients and price, we will stick with the more economical choice of Purina One!

I have a yorkie puppy. When I first got him, I knew I wanted to feed him high quality dog food. I tried both Merrick and Wellness. I like these kibbles better compared to the Wellness small breed puppy food (which made his stool loose and mushy). With Merrick's puppy food, his stool was more firm and easier to clean/pick up. When I put both in his bowl, he'd pick out the Merrick kibbles and eat those and leave the Wellness kibbles. I'd give Merrick's gran free puppy reach chicken and sweet potato kibbles 5 stars, but it seems my puppy has lost interest in this brand over time as well. He now only eats it when he has to or if I mix wet dog food in with it. I'd love to keep him on Merrick but will now have to look for a different brand for him.

Our puppy is a 6 month old Siberian Husky. He's had digestive issues since we got him, a lot of soft stools, eating every plant in the yard and normal puppy stuff. We had him on holistic puppy food, but the soft stools persisted. I saw this product and decided to take a chance--because the one thing our pup loves is CHICKEN. We would put him on boiled chicken for awhile, and his stools would normalize. We have had him on this Merrick Chicken & Sweet Potato formula for puppies for a week--and VIOLA! normal stools! Thanks Merrick--for taking the time to create real food for dogs without by-products. It's not cheap, but it is cheaper than buying chicken breasts and thighs all week. :)
