PANCAKES
DIRECTIONS
- Mix the ground flax seeds with water, stir a few times and set aside for 10-15 minutes to thicken
- Pour the flour in a medium bowl, add the baking soda and stir to combine. Add in the flax meal, milk, vanilla, and vinegar and stir to get an even doughy mixture (don’t overmix!)
- Heat coconut oil in a large pan over medium-low. Add about 1/4 cup of the batter to form a pancake. Let it cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges get golden brown and bubbles form on top. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side. Repeat
- Serve warm with a drizzle of pure maple syrup, banana slices, or other fruits of choice. Enjoy!

- 1 cup green banana flour
- 6 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp ground flax seeds
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 cup non-dairy milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 1 tsp of coconut oil
WAFFLES
DIRECTIONS
- Combine everything except the non-dairy milk in a mixing bowl. Mix to form a very thick batter. Add the non-dairy milk 1 tablespoon at a time if necessary
- Preheat the waffle maker and spray with non-stick spray.
- Spoon half of the batter into the center of the waffle maker, close, and cook. Let it cook 15 seconds past the DONE indicator to make the outside extra crispy.
- Repeat with the other half of the batter.
- Add fresh fruit, maple syrup, or toppings of choice. Enjoy!

*UPDATE: I ran out of this product and made a smoothie without. I was hungry much faster! I think this helps me to stay full longer. I make my smoothie at 10 am and am good until 2 pm. Last one I made I wasn't satiated and ended up nibbling around noon. Ordering More.
I originally ordered it because of a diet change suggested by "The Plant Paradox", by Steven R. Gundry, MD. Originally I thought I would add it to my baking and will add some that way eventually. However, after reading up on how this particular "Resistant Starch" helps my large intestine and how it needs to be raw in order to do that, I decided to use it in smoothies. I am hoping that some of the Paleo folks will take note of that because there are a ton of recipes out there in that community who are cooking this starch and it is no longer as good for your gut that way, nor does it offer as many nutrients after being cooked (Cooking always destroys some nutrients of any food).
I would love to see some recipes on the Blue Lily Organics website to help with ideas & proportions.

When you eat this stuff, it passes through your stomach and small intestine undigested. Hence "resistant" starch. It resists getting digested. Just like soluble fiber. Once it reaches your colon, your gut bacteria have a King's feast. And when these guys feast, they reduce inflammation, increase insulin sensitivity, grow the population of good bacteria, KILL bad bacteria, and start healing any number of problems in your body. You may notice skin improvements in a matter of 30 to 45 minutes. You'll feel happier and calmer. Your stomach will feel amazing.
I think everyone needs to use this everyday. It's silly not to.
I'm doing 1tsp in my hemp protein shake post workout. (I started at 1/4tsp) It's very important to eat raw to maintain the nutrients. Absolutely no heat can be used - do not bake with this.
It's also important to note that consuming prebiotic supplements like this might actually be better than probiotics. What do you think is better in this analogy - dumping civilians into an area, everyday, in an attempt to grow the population, or, giving civilians food and water and letting them naturally reproduce and generate their own population?
