Dap products in general are good and i chose this particular one because I had used it before and was happy. In the past I caulked edges along Hardi siding this time cedar siding. It does shrink a little but nothing serious. Paints perfectly.

Highly recommend this stuff, we purchased the 12 pack for projects around our new (drafty!) house and have gone through six of the tubes so far. Adhesion has been fantastic and we've been able to use it on both wood window and door frames as well as small gaps on our concrete block basement. It's flexible but not so much that it falls apart, which is a relief when you're caulking for an hour or two straight.

Bought this to save money vs. buying at a big box store. Its authentic Dynaflex 230. It performs just like Dynaflex 230 is supposed to - thick and with excellent adhesion. That means my contractors complained the whole time but you know what? Its not going to shrink or crack. If you want to pay big money for better caulk like high-end Sherwin Williams that is easier to work with you can. This stuff doesn't hold a candle to it in terms of performance or ease of use. But for a general interior caulk, its way better than the cheap Alex caulks. Outdoor...eh, I've used it outdoors and it does okay but do yourself a favor and get something better if its going to be exposed directly to the elements. All tubes were fresh, none had hardened or separated caulk in them. I'll buy this again.
