Tired of getting to the end of another self help book and wondering where to start?
The Winners's Bible provides the tools that create permanent change.

I bought the book on July 14th 2009 though Amazon after a friend "linked me" to The Winner's Bible website.
I listened to world class athletes describe personal changes in their lives that were brought about after applying Dr Spackmans techniques and tools, and I figured if they (people who have tried everything) got results then why not me?

Anyway - about the book.

Only start this read if you've got time...not to put it down. The author writes in such a way that anyone can understand the princples. Unlike some books that I have read this one doesn't require a thesaurus.
Dr Spackman will help you understand how and why you've failed to make changes in the past. He provides practical solutions and tools, that if applied consistantly, will create permanent changes in the future.

The key for me is that this book makes it personal. No one else has the exact same issues as I do. The personal bible you create provides you with a "visual stimlulator" that really only helps one person - you. I now have a clear picture of where I am going and what personally "drives me". My energy levels have ripped to new levels because I am focused on what really matters to me. Reprogramming my automatic reponses is something I didn't know I could do before reading this book. It is crazy to think of the time and effort I have wasted in the past with books that just don't work.

I've had to apply myself; creating change requires work. If you really want to change the direction you are heading in life, if you want to be a winner, this book will help you create solutions.

If you want to regain control, then get a copy. The proof is in the pudding!!

This book should be given to every young person to read, in fact to people of all ages. It is a great guide on how to deal with the complexities of growing up and how to deal with people and situations. How to overcome issues that get you down, to give you confidence in yourself so you can face any problem that comes your way. It is very well written and encourages you to set goals and achieve them. So important for a successful life.

This is my first ever Amazon review. This book is changing my life. I have read many self help books but this one is the best because of author’s credibility, and the practicality of the method.

The 3 biggest takeaways so far:

1) how to create a mental picture of ‘dog barking’ to get rid of unwanted but uncontrollable stress - from his experience with F1 world champion;

2) the difference between Optimism v Unshakable Blief, and how to train my brain to have an unshakable belief the same way we practice our backhand for tennis.

3) how to find intrinsic driver, and why some effort to turn passion into a career fails.

I have then applied the learnings to my life. I used 1) to get rid of my bad habit of being impatient, and used 2) and 3) to come up with my goal and a clear plan for 2019.

This book is changing my life!

I have read heaps of self-help books, been to many self-help seminars, listened to tapes, dvds you name it, I've done it. Nothing clicked until I read The Winner's Bible. It is a great book, an easy read and well worth the money. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get ahead and even anyone who just needs a boost in life. Thanks to Kerry Spackman for doing something new and GO THE KIWIS. WE CAN DO ANYTHING!

This little book really works! Quite simply, it helped me confirm one of my major goals in life, and what's more it got me in the process of pursuing it. No other book, TV show, or other piece of advice has achieved this over the past thirty years. This little book has been well worth the handful of bucks that it cost. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Give me a challenge and help me achieve it, all good.
Read and started the bible and various inserts required, but was stalled when I couldn't access the web site audit option. It does apologise and say it will be ready soon - but sooooo frustrating for us poor folks who need to keep on track and focused on the task in hand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Engages the reader to think for themselves
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 26, 2012
This book was recommended by a friend of mine who thought it was good. I tend to run the other direction from anything resembling a self help book or teachers in the art of success, but I said I'd have a look anyway. After reading it I am 100% sure that you can make your life more fulfilling using the tools outlined in the book. It's not a one path suits all approach, or a list of do's and don'ts, more a couple of gentle nudges and psychological thought provokers to get you to think about current directions your life is taking. As he says himself, you get out what you put in. It's a continious and participatory process, but I think this is the main appeal. The author constantly promotes his work throughout the book like he's discovered something only a select few in the world could be tuned into, but I'll put that down as enthusiasm and being an over zealous marketer. In conclusion, I can only say, you won't be disappointed.

The title says it all. I have had amazing success with this book already. It changes you daily attitude to everyday tasks by unleashing the power of your brain. It sets you up for success by identifying your strengths, weaknesses, and passions and them showing you how to tap into drivers all of the time! Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hard work but the results are worth it!

I don't usually write reviews but having read some very inaccurate 1 and 2 star reviews of this book I felt compelled to share my experience. Like many people I purchased this book after listening to Dr. Spackman on the radio. I have always been fascinated by sport, principally because of the obvious power that psychology plays at the highest levels of professional sport. I was interested to see whether the advice of a sports psychologist would work in my own life.

Dr. Spackman begins by explaining some basic psychology and neuroscience that underpins his techniques. The main purpose of the book is for the reader to construct their own Winner's Bible - a booklet with pictures and words that represent various aspects of your life that you wish to improve. The idea is to look through your own "Bible" every morning to help you achieve your goals. The book explains several techniques to help with this such as Fixed Visualisation and there is a brief introduction to Mind Mapping. Another important aspect of the book is an Online Audit, in which the reader asks several friends to anonymously outline their strengths and weaknesses through a web-based tool. This allows you to learn valuable lessons about yourself that your friends may not have the courage to tell you to your face!

The book is an interesting read in itself and I found that the best approach was to read the book once through before starting your own Winner's Bible, and then start again this time following the instructions in each chapter. To get the full benefit of the book does take a long time and an awful lot of hard work. Don't expect instant results! The online audit in particular takes a lot of courage to do. But I did find the process highly enjoyable. I have managed to change some aspects of my life that were a real problem for me in the past and that I thought were just part of my nature. But I could only do this by strictly following the instructions in the book.

I have given this 4 stars rather than 5 for three reasons. Firstly, the tone of the book can be a bit irritating at times. Secondly, as someone with a science background I was a bit disappointed that the psychology and neuroscience theory in the book is very limited. Even though it is written for non-experts the scientific explanations of his techniques were fairly cursory and I would have liked more. On a similar note, although the book has a wide scope with chapters aimed at improving various areas of one's life I was always left wanting more.

I am not an avid reader of self-help books but those I have tried have helped me to make incremental changes in my life so I cannot compare this to many other books in this genre. However I can say that compared to some of the others I have read is not simply a matter of reading the book once. It can work if you are prepared to spend a lot of time re-reading it and working through it.
