I bought both these "Merrell Terran Lattice II" sandals in blue and the "Merrell District Muri Lattice" sandals in tan. They are both very similar. The back end is the biggest difference, along with the strap pattern, and finishing on the bottom of the sole.The Terran straps are velcro adjustable. They are pretty loose, but the velcro is too short. I wasn't a fan of the excess strap and the look of the velcro areas. I was unable to unbuckle the strap, and i'm unsure if the buckle is supposed to be like that. You don't NEED the buckle, it's not adjustable, there is velcro instead. But I'm unsure why theres a buckle at all. The back area is a little scratchy because of the velcro area, but it's so loose its not a big deal. The shoe fit as expected, I typically buy size 9 more than any other size in any brand, and size 9 was perfect in this shoe. The grip on the bottom was great.The Muri straps are more symmetrical/centered, the buckle is a big upgrade. It works, and this is the only adjustable part of the shoe. The back end looks a lot cleaner in my opinion without the velcro straps. The straps are still loose in this sandal also, but it's not so bad that they're flying off my feet. I'm sure I will appreciate the space after a long day of walking. The grip on the bottom has a fabric coating, and is rather slippery on tile (I almost died) BUT I feel like this fabric coating is not unusual in new shoes, and will likely be much better after 1 full day of use.Both sandals fit perfectly in my expected/usual size. The terran's have a more "fun" strap pattern, Muri more symmetrical. Muri wins the best back strap, best buckle. Terran's have the better bottom/grip.Overall I'm returning the Terran and keeping the Muri simply because the back of the shoe.

I never leave reviews for products even thought I read them all the time. Yeah, I'm that person, but these shoes deserve a review. I was looking for something waterproof and comfy to wear for a week at Disney World......sooooo much walking.

1. These did not require a break in period. I put them on the day before we left and wore them for a couple of hours just to see if there was any weird strap rubbing. Made some velcro adjustments at the end of the day and that was it. These have two velcro straps in the back and one over top that allow for great sizing. Plus, they look really cute with the small straps.

2. I have wide feet with little to no arch. When I try to wear shoes with arch support, they end up hurting my feet because it's like they are trying to make an arch. These did not do this. If you have a very high arch, these might not be the shoes for you. I also have somewhat wide feet. I don't have to order wide sizes in shoes, but not all shoes fit my foot width. These fit perfectly. That is why I chose "a little wide" on the sizing. If you have very narrow feet, I don't think these would work. Chacos have never worked for me because of my foot width and arch, but these were perfect.

3. I wore these everyday for 5 straight days of amusement park walking. I kept track on my watch and our lowest walking day was 14 miles and the highest was 22. My feet never hurt. The straps never rubbed.

4. The sole of the shoes are a very soft suede material. I worried about how that would do getting wet. They were never fully submerged, but they did get a little wet on a water ride. It didn't change the feel of the shoe at all. Also, they never smelled bad. I don't have smelly feet, but shoes can sometimes smell bad after getting wet. These did not do that. I think they would still be fine if they were fully soaked.

Do yourself a favor. Buy these shoes.

These fit me like Teva's, but are suede lined so not water friendly but super comfy for non-water applications. I wear these all the time for walking around our city, I can walk for miles in these.

I have one wide foot (bunions) and one regular foot. This shoe fits both, as the straps are adjustable.

If you like Merell's these fit very similarly.

I read all the reviews and bought this for a trip to Portugal during the summer. People were very accurate!

Pros: virtually no need to break these shoes, amazingly comfortable, arch support, have some grip that was great for the hilly streets of Portugal, great for thin feet.

Cons: after 3 days of usage some of the Velcro lose a little strength but nothing terrible, I have seen this in other Velcro shoes like Tevas. They also started smelling :( so I had to give them a rest, and rotate other less comfortable shoes and not using them a full day in very hot weather and that actually helped.

Final verdict: I would buy another pair in the future. Their comfort is amazing, but wouldn't rely fully on them for trips.

Some people thought these were hiking shoes. Definitely not, the straps are too narrow and these wouldn't work for serious multi days hike in tough terrain, these are city or one day trip shoes.

I would wish the straps were wider and maybe that the decorated one went away. Although they look nice, with these changes they could pass for more dressy shoes and it could be a multi use shoe.

I bought these after trying them on in a store and finding them cheaper on Amazon. I have a wide foot but find these to be not a big problem. I love all the adjustability though I wish the toe straps would adjust some. The back strap can come off entirely which is nice for those who don't always want to use them.

Foot bed is very comfortable. The clasp is pretty fiddly and a pain to deal with but I am able to take these on and off without using it at all once I adjusted the velcro straps which is nice.

I put them on the first day and wore them around for 6 hours to break them in and try them out for an upcoming Disney trip. The only problem I had was where they rubbed on my pinky toes a bit. I was able to get my toes out of the shoe and walk around like that a bit though it was a little weird. Now that I've worn them all day every day for a week and a half, the pinky toe issue doesn't really bother me. I think I just needed to develop that callous after wearing nothing but flip flops all summer.

Arch support...There isn't really a traditional arch in the sandal. It would look weird if there was. But I do find that's supportive enough for me. I wear shoe arch inserts in some shoes but don't feel that I'm missing out by not having that high arch in these. They would be fine for people with both lower and higher arches.

Definitely worth a try.

The straps go on either side of the bunions so there is no pressure in the toes or the lumpy bunion.
