Sharon Karaa is a mass of contradictions but two facets of her character have always battled for supremacy; her logical self (let's call him Frank) and her artistic side (lets her call Misty).

Book 2 is Natalia’s story, and if possible it is even better than the first book. Natalia has already shown herself to be fierce and loyal and just a complete badass, with supermodel good looks. It would be easy to hate her for the supermodel looks, but how can you when she has unfailingly protected and defended Lauren in book one? Now we get to delve into her personal life, and it isn’t what I expected.
The opening is a bit clunky, again. There’s something about obvious scene-setting explanations that don’t appeal to me in books. They always sound like the scene-setting explanation in play scripts, which isn’t to be shared with the audience, but is given as an aid to the actors. I prefer to jump right in and have the backstory revealed to me as the story unfolds. The obviousness here is quickly forgiven, as I got sucked up into Natalia’s life.
All of our old friends are back, and a few new ones are added to the mix: a blonde Adonis angel, and a tall, dark, and handsome demon. There’s no shortage of eye candy here, or chaos. Do you expect anything less, with Agnes and Geordie hanging around?
Natalia cracks me up with her antics. Getting kicked out of Hell for making it snow? Hysterical! Being pissed off about having to hang out in a sunny, flower-filled field, because it is too happy? Ha! She makes me laugh. “What are these feelings I am having???” Funny stuff.
There was a point that I was groaning, as I thought I knew how things were going to play out. It seemed so obvious, and so identical to a situation in the first book. Surprise! It didn’t go that way at all. Not being a fan of the obvious, or of formulaic writing, I was quite pleased that I couldn’t accurately anticipate anything in this book. Except that there is a HEA. I won’t say with who, though….
I thoroughly enjoyed this, and am a smidge impatient for book three. Alas, I don’t think it has been written yet, so I have a bit of a wait ahead of me.
Author is British and as such be aware that what appears at first to be spelling errors is really just the difference in how we spell many common words. Phrasing is also different at times. If you realize that and turn off editor mode it really is an entertaining story.
As to the plot, it has a nice pace that keeps the things moving. Plenty of action, romance and drama. Just the right mix. I love the contrast of good vs. evil in this book. Good vs. Evil plays a large role in this book. Good does triumph but not in the traditional way. It takes a surprising twist.
Her description of Satan at times had me laughing out loud. He came off as a spoiled child that moves home to daddy when he doesn't get his way. Not what most people picture.
If you like stories that have just the right amount of dark vs. light then please try out Sharon's books. Even though they have a dark side, the dark side is not so dark that you want to put it down because it gets to depressing or scary. It is a fun dark side with lots of twists and turns.
This is an entertaining read, that has left me wanting more. It has all the elements that I like in a book: comedy, conflict, drama, romance and fun. I can't wait for her next book to come out.

Sharon has such a way of describing her characters that they really come to life and almost leap from the pages.
This isn't merely a funny book though, it delves into relationships and redemption in a way that has you gripped until the end. An amazing cast and a rollicking tale, I cannot get enough of this series!
