Customers are satisfied with the accuracy of the biometric monitor. They say it's giving much more accurate information on their workouts than their stationary bike ever did, and it tracks their HR really well. The unit is also good when connected via Bluetooth and ANT+ support, and provides real-time metrics. It does a great job of tracking steps, and measures your stride when running. Customers are also impressed with the outdoor cycling cadence tracking and the detail it tracks, as well as the calories and heart rate at the end of their workout.

Customers have mixed opinions about the performance of the biometric monitor. Some say that it works pretty well and is much happier than they were with the previous one, while others say that the accuracy is not always good, and the step rate and run speed does not work. Customers are mixed about the heart rate monitor. Some mention that it tracks your heart rate and calories burned very well and you don't need your phone or tablet. The heart rate date correlates with the pacemaker data, and it is a solid unit for monitoring heart rate. Others say that without a phone or table it only records heart rate, it is not tracking as accurately when you get to higher heart, and the heart sensor is unreliable. That said, some say that it is useless for tracking a treadmill workout.
"...The device already detects the heart beat, all it would need is the app to monitor the heart beat and rate and record the data...." Read more
"...Even if it shows as connected the HR readings are ridiculous at first (> 115) which skews the data for my workout on Endomondo...." Read more

"...and now I would conclude that the Fitbit charge2 is not tracking as accurately when you get to higher heart rate ... 134 bpm and higher...." Read more
Customers have mixed opinions about the connectivity of the product. Some mention that it pairs flawlessly with their phone and the offline workouts function as advertised, while others say that they are having issues with them connecting. Some customers also mention that the Bluetooth connectivity is problematic, while other customers say that the product would not consistently sync to their phone or read an accurate heart rate.
"...But after a couple weeks the pairing is seemingly impossible and results in a lot of wasted time...." Read more
"...It is accurate enough but it does not always work. Connectivity (bluetooth) is problematic. I use it with my iPhone, latest iOS...." Read more
"...love the fact that it saves the workout and will sync with your smartphone or compatible device whenever you are in range. Great product...." Read more
"...I also have had trouble getting it to connect to my first generation apple I watch. It has only connected once...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the compatibility of the product. Some mention that the app has a lot of useful features, while others say that it isn't great and is not ready for prime time. The device is being held back by inferior Wahoo apps, which are a little plain and incompatible with free fitness apps like Google Fit.
"...The app has a lot of cool reporting features and can be tailored to show you the data you want to see-..." Read more
"...On a very regular basis, the iOS app will simply not see the sensor, regardless of how fresh the battery is...." Read more

"...It's a fun little device that syncs up to a ton of apps (Myfitnesspal, Nike+, Garmin, etc.) that will help you take your workouts to the next level...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the durability of the biometric monitor. Some mention it has proven durable with no issues with either the strap or the battery, while others say that the strap piece broke after six weeks. The actual metal of the snap broke, making them feel like the monitors are not as sturdy. Some say that it lasted 5 months and the click strap broke, while another customer says that it broke completely and will not connect to the app at all.
"...can put it on and take it off, and both of the plastic backing pieces on the strap popped off...." Read more
"...It holds up well, and has been resistant to being drenched in sweat and light dunking in water...." Read more
"...But the snap mechanism on this monitor is so aggravating. If I bend over to fasten my shoe, it pops open...." Read more

Customers are dissatisfied with the value of the product. They mention that it is a useless investment, the construction seems a bit cheaper than the Garmin soft strap, and the monitor is cheap and thin. They also say that the quality of the device is disappointing.
"...This is an expensive gadget, I wasted money on this product.Below is my original review from February...." Read more
"...are so bad and the added features don't really work, the TickrX isn't worth the extra money. I'm returning it for something else...." Read more
"...In summary, This is an excellent value for the money. You get all the data you need for accurate heart rate monitoring...." Read more
"...The other issue is I don't love the band. The material/construction seems a bit cheaper than say the Garmin soft strap and I am worried its going..." Read more

I find it very comfortable to wear, unlike another similar device that had.
The only minor problem I have encounter is at the beginning, when I first put it on. The heart rate jumps around for a little bit. I suppose that it needs a bit of moist to make a good connection with your skin. Once that happens it works great.
I haven’t used mine in about a couple of years due to an injury, but I am about to start working out again and I’m definitely making part of my workout. With that said, I can’t commend on the app, since I am sure there has been a few updates to it that I have not used.
Just a suggestion, one thing I wish this and other similar devices could do, is to monitor for irregular heart beat. I am not talking about the ability to do a EKG type of diagnose, but rather the ability to detect an irregularity in heart beat. The Apple Watch can detect A-Fib, but not irregular heart beat. If this device could do that, it would be a great thing for those who suffer from some heart condition. The device already detects the heart beat, all it would need is the app to monitor the heart beat and rate and record the data. So far there is nothing in the market that can do that.
I was a medic for over ten years and I had a lot of patients with heart problems that thought that such a device and app would be great to have. I myself experienced irregular heart beat for a while, or at least it felt like it. But it would only last for a few seconds and the it was gone for days at a time. I wanted something to be able to record and maintain a record to take to my doctor.
Again, this is just a feature ai wish this had, and not a reflection on how good or it for it’s intended use as it stand right now.
Pros:
- It's comfortable and un-intrusive to wear.
- The built in memory allows you to workout without bringing your device along
- When connected with a device, the double-tap action on the hardware can be customized to perform a couple different tasks, such as skipping to the next song
- The app has a lot of cool reporting features and can be tailored to show you the data you want to see
- The app tracks past workouts and can even upload them to a number of other fitness apps (I personally send mine straight to MyFitnessPal)
Cons:
- Theres a slight learning curve to the app because the packaged instructions aren't very clear and/or thorough. Most of the features of the app, in particular, I found through tinkering, but there are some videos on Wahoo's site
- (Minor) The app is geared more toward running/cycling/etc types of activity, and a single one of those activities at a time. My gym workout routine involves a few minutes of treadmill cardio to get my heart rate up, then some moderate strength training, then even more treadmill cardio. I've customized the strength training profile to give me detailed HR information only, and this suffices for my needs, but I can't help but feel like I'm not quite making the best use of all of the features of the device.
- (Minor) Along the lines of "using all the features", I'm still not sure how the "rep counting" feature of the tracker works. While I initially purchased this product primarily for the heart rate and activity tracking, I was looking forward to integrating a digital rep counter into my process, but I'm not sure if or how it works with the strength training routine I use.
In spite of those three relatively minor instances (which are actually tied more specifically to the companion app and not so much to the hardware), I still find this product to be an outstanding addition to my fitness lifestyle.
Previously I had bought a Polar H1 in May 2015, it failed in October 2017. I bought a Polar H10 and used it until March 2019 when it failed. I had 3 chest straps which it failed to work with simultaneously. I sent it in for repair because it had a lifetime warranty. They said it was a bad strap. After several email discussions they returned it to me. Consequently I bought the Wahoo with no knowledge about it. It worked fine. Also, it not only works well with with the strap provided, but also with the 3 straps Polar service said were bad.
So being from a quality background, if I am to believe Polar that their unit needed a new strap and the Wahoo works fine with those same straps, then the Wahoo has a much more robust design. This Wahoo has out lasted 2 Polar units and still going.
I’ve tried the Wahoo utility to test the connection. It will connect to that fine and then every 50 tries one of the other apps will see it, but then immediately lose it. I’ve tried all their troubleshooting sugggestions:
-wet sensors
-replace battery
-disable and enable Bluetooth
-disable Bluetooth on my other device
-reboot device
I have the same issue on my iPhone 8 so I don’t think it’s my iPad. And the blue light blinks so I know the Tickr is on. Going to return and try something else.
UPDATE: After deleting the old Wahoo Fitness app and only pairing it with the RunFit app on my iPhone 8 I’ve been having consistent success over the past week. I’ll chalk it up to maybe the BeachBody app causing issues and possibly trying to use it with multiple apps on one device. RunFit works great and syncs with Apple Health app.

Lo recomiendo ampliamiente.
The only annoyance I have is when syncing my saved workouts (workouts done with the monitor while NOT connected to the phone app) it takes some time or multiple attempts to connect. It always does connect and sync but usually takes a few attempts before it does. Other than that I have nothing but great things to say.
