Summer Book Study
I heard Horacio speak at a conference this year and what he spoke about was powerful....he shared the research behind why our students are struggling more these days and why they are coming to us with less and less self-regulation skills, unmotivated, lacking focus, etc. Of course, I bought the book and I appreciate learning about "why" this is happening but also that he provides actual strategies that teachers can use to prevent and address negative behaviors. The brain research is written in a way that I understand it without all of the super-technical jargon--it makes so much sense! A must-have for all teachers!
