Been using this for the last couple of months and thoughts.
I needed an efficient method of transportation due to not knowing how to drive. And I thought an e-bike would be a nice way to commute. I've been using the EB-5 for 4 months and here are my thoughts. It does take a bit of practice in knowing how to drive this e-bike. If your bike is on and you move the petal a tiny bit it will lurch forward and this happened several times when I had to clutch the bike and turn the power off quickly so it didn't move on its own. You really have to practice. Wish there was a petal assist off mode, because I mostly don't petal minus when I go up hills and the bike lurching forward because my leg accidentally bumped against the petal while I was waiting for the walk sign to turn on was a bit dangerous and physically restraining a bike is not a good way to start off in the morning. But anyway now I turn off my bike when I'm still, lesson learned. My commute is really rough, with lots of bumps. I had to replace my back tire after 4 months of use which was reasonable because my commute is a whole bunch of huge bumps and pot holes and sometimes there is glass on the road. Kind of shocked I didn't get a flat sooner after going through a 5-inch deep pothole. It was a bit difficult changing the tire because the wheel is so small but it was doable. For battery life, like any kind of battery, it starts draining and it gets a little bit slower. I can get a good 15 miles after one charge which is all I need for my commute and have 2-1 bars left. One thing I didn't really enjoy was the bike is kind of loud. You can hear it whirring a lot but this is my first e-bike so I'm not sure if this is with all e-bikes. Also, I wished it had a key lock for the battery.Overall I think this purchase was worth it. I've used it very well for the past couple of months due to a summer gig. Definitely a really good purchase for people who are doing internships or going to school and need a really affordable way to commute. Do bike maintenance weekly, check your tires and don't overcharge your battery. Only used it in light rain/ drizzling - don't recommend using it in heavy rain. This bike saved me a good a ~1000 in uber fees. Really recommend getting a bike basket (best thing I have on my bike for weekly grocery shopping) and headlights for this bike too for convenience.*update after several more months of use: if you run out of battery it’s going to suck bc the tires are small and the bike is heavy so you’ll be moving at snail speed (coming from a short person with skinny legs :P ). When this happened I didn’t bother pedaling instead walked it back, plan your trips. Also one of the pedals snapped off but saved my foot from being crushed after hitting a curb but still working great 👍 Don’t use it as much minus some grocery runs, the battery is good too.

5.0 out of 5 stars All I need for ebike fun
Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2024
I've had mine for a couple of years as it is perfect for my needs. It goes about 15 miles at 15mph and has a throttle. Don't need multiple speeds or a derailleur. I mostly keep it in the trunk of my Nissan Sentra and stop off at interesting trails and back roads with slight hills. I just love being out in nature and exploring. It takes a rear rack so that you can add a bag for your camera or snacks. I upgraded my handlebar to a bit more of an upright curved one so that I can sit more upright. It is quiet and you can bring the battery inside to charge it. My tires are holding up OK and I might find an extra battery to haul along to increase my mileage. For some it might look funny being so small, but as a short older woman I am able to load this little 36lb bike into my car and it just fits me perfectly.

1.0 out of 5 stars Decent bike for the price point. Not happy with durability of parts.
Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2022
I’ve used the bike three times in two days. Rode less than 10miles combined and the break wires are looking like this ???expected more protection around the wiring but it’s nothing but thin layer of plastic. Luckily it’s just the break cables and I noticed before it got worse.

Aside from that battery last a good time. Rode around mostly flat road for about 1hr. and still had 4 out of 5 battery bars left just using throttle. Same thing when I rode for 30 mins for 5 miles on a balanced roads. Does good going up hill, on steeper hills you do need to pedal to get some speed going up hill if not it feels like you’re moving like a snail in just throttle. You definitely feel every crack and bump in the road. I’ll be swapping out the seat for sure to make it a more comfortable ride.

Finding compatible rear cargo rack has been a pain since swagtron is out of stock and it doesn’t seem like they will be continuing to manufacture the accessory.

Update. I’ve used the bike maybe a handful of times and it’s no longer working. The battery registers as charged but the Moter isn’t running anymore. Not sure what the issue is but very disappointed with how long this product lasted
