Pros:
Easy to put together. It's 90% assembled when you get it, just need to attach keyboard tray & cord mgt. and your good to go.
Stable. Doesn't wobble around much.
Height adjustment: plenty of settings to match everyone's needs.
Real estate on table: Good. It's not a huge amount, but workable. I had a bit smaller space to work on, so its good for me.
Solid/well built: it's as solidly built as the other name brand. Its holding 2 24" monitors on a single pole/2 arm stand, my laptop, and a few other things. It's solid and stable, with hardly any jiggling.
Cons:
It doesn't sit all the way flush...the keybaord tray is about 1" above the desk, which leaves all of the rest of the stand a bit high when sitting. I may need to lower my monitors a bit lower as well.
Have to give it a bit of a tug to get started. I think you can adjust the gas struts (there are 2) to help with lifting, but you have to give it a bit of a tug to start. After that, it lifts fine.
The locks sometimes don't get into the teeth all of the way - when I raise it, I just check the locks on either side to make sure they are 100% locked in. Its never been in unstable in any way, just sometimes the locks on the left side need a bit of coaxing.
My cons make it sound a bit negative, but they are not show-stoppers in any way. Would I purchase another one of these if I needed one? YES. Even my wife thinks this one is as good as her more expensive one, so these are a good alternative to higher-priced brands. I would give it 4.8 stars if I could, just removing a bit of rating due to my little piddly issues, and well worth the price.
As for the keyboard, the issue will be noticeable only to trained touch-typists or those who type for hours a day. There is a one-inch gap between the bottom of the keyboard tray and the table on which the device sits, plus the 3/4 inches of the tray itself. There is no reason the keyboard tray couldn't be redesigned so that it sat flush on the desk, which would put the keyboard itself closer to the optimal height for good typists.

With all the work I have to do, it’s a great solution for better posture alternative.
Pros:
- It goes pretty high. My boyfriend is 6’3 so we picked up a desk high enough so with the tallest setting of the standing desk, it works perfectly for him and I just need to go half way in the settings.
- I have a laptop on a stand and 2 monitors. It’s really tight but it fits. The desk is strong enough.
- easy to lift up and down.
- strong and sturdy desk ready for the job!
Cons :
- the desk is heavy so you need a strong desk to hold everything.
- one side of my control gets stuck something but I’m getting use to it. Hard to lock it in place.
- the keyboard stand doesn’t move or incline. Would have been nice to have to control on it.
The only caveat I'd add is that you have to make sure the surface it's lying on is high enough if you're a taller person (6'2" in my case), because it may end up being a bit low.
=== The Good ===
===============
- 8 hardware locked adjustment positions between it's lowest and highest positions
- Adjust the overall height to the appropriate keyboard height for you.
- Build quality is great, but definitely not luxurious.
- The top surface, blends into the edges/sides of the table without any separation of material (no separate plastic sides, that can easily strip off over time)
- The actual table top material used seems durable for general use/abrasion (Eg. resting wrists, coffee mugs, mouse etc)
- The moving mechanisms seem tight/dependable
=== The Bad ===
=============
- The locking mechanism isn't great. It's basically a bolt in slot (teeth) mechanism that locks the table in place for each height adjustment. Sometimes it doesn't easily lock in place on one side for me, and I have to force the lever used to lock/unlock in order to get it the bolt in between the teeth. That's a little annoying/concerning, but not a deal-breaker.
- The rise/lower mechanism is smooth, but also requires more force than I thought would be required to lift the table up. Using the amount of force that is required often makes me concerned that if something jams up while I'm pulling the table up I might dump the two monitors on the table top. Or if the friction pads on the base of the unit become less tacky, that the whole thing might move around from it's original place on the desk, which is not ideal. For this reason I have placed markers on the existing desk this unit is resting on, so that I can see if the VIVO is moving around and it does, ever so slightly. It's easy enough to slide back into place if you have the markers there.
In summary, I'd really like to give this 5/5 stars, because the table top material and build quality is better than I thought it would be, however the flaws I found are really the flaws I'd rather not have to worry about. For example, I'd rather the material of the table be worse than it is, rather than the locking/raise-lower mechanism be my complaint. Overall I absolutely don't regret my purchase. In consideration of what's currently available (especially on Amazon), it's quite affordable, and seemingly durable.
I was considering buying a Versadesk because a couple of people in my office had one but I just couldn't justify the price. Thst being said, I couldn't stand sitting all day and wanted to find an alternative. I came across this one on Amazon and the reviews looked good. I also liked that this desk had more writing space than it's competitors.
I decided to pull the trigger and could not be any happier. It has ample writing room, fits two 27 inch monitors and is very well built. When fully extended, the desk does not shake. My colleagues who spent triple the price were shocked at the build and price.
Only cons:
1) the height could be an inch lower when fully lowered
2) keyboard cant tilt and slide in/out
Regardless, for the price, I highly recommend this desk. You won't be dissapointed!
