I’m always a bit worried about getting counterfeits when I buy from Amazon but buying from the Pendleton Store put my fears at ease and what little there was remaining was erased when the package arrived. It is an obvious genuine Pendleton blanket (exactly like the one my friend purchased from a retail store). The wool is thick and heavy and the colors (we got the Grand Canyon National Park design) are bright and true. The blanket is very warm - nice to lay on your legs when sitting around a firepit and also looks great when draped over the top of a sofa. This type of wool is intended to be more warm and durable than soft but the nice weave makes it as soft as wool can be. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one of these again.

Updated: NOT a Pendleton blanket! It’s a Knock off.
INCREDIBLY disappointed with this purchase. I had saved up to get this Pendleton blanket as a special gift. It came in the mail and it was in the Pendleton packaging. It looked a bit beat up but since it was in the branded packaging I wrapped it. When I gave it as a gift they were so happy only to take out the blanket and be crushed to find that it’s a knock off. The branded blanket that was sent, is 1/3 of the cost of an actual Pendleton blanket and not as high quality.This was a massive disappointment and a waste of money. Save the money and disappoint and just order directly from the Pendleton store.UPDATED: 1/20/25A replacement was sent and it was an actual Pendleton Grand Canyon blanket. Disappointed the first was not authentic but I’m glad it was made right and we got the blanket. The person it was gifted to loved it and that’s all that matters. Good quality blanket with great color.
