Go Power! TS-30 30 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch
The Go Power! Transfer Switch 30 amp (TS-30) provides automatic power switching between two separate 120 volt AC input sources. Some inverter installations integrate the inverter directly into the AC electrical system. An automatic transfer switch is usually installed to allow both your inverter and shore power to alternatively feed the circuits and prevent AC back feed. The Go Power! TS-30 is a 30 amp AC switch that automatically connects shore power (when available) to your breaker panel. When unplugged from power, it then connects your inverter output to power your circuits.
- Voltage: 120 VAC
- Amps: 30 Amps
- Dimensions: 9.65”L x 7.28”W x 4.75”H

Interestingly, If you are switching three sources, the manual shows using two switches together and how to hook them up to prioritize your sources.
I also purchased a switch to remotely turn the inverter on and off (JR Products 12005 White Single SPST On-Off Switch with Bezel). I found it to be pretty easy to connect the switch in parallel with the inverter's power switch using control wire that I ran through a cooling vent in the inverter. Now if I am boondocking or loose campground power, all I have to do is open the breaker for the converter, AC and other loads that I do not want to power, then turn on my inverter. After a short time delay, the inverter comes on line and is powering my entire trailer, making it easy for me to pick and choose which 120v items I want to use.
I didnt give the item 4 stars because I feel this item should be in the $100 range, not what it is at now. Also, the box is very large. Some people may appreciate the extra wiring space, but it is honestly far to large. I could have wired at least 4 more power sources into this box with the space they provide. This will limit your mounting locations, its not easily hidden.
Otherwise, this item is great. Works great. Seems to be of good quality. Hopefully it lasts.
Put a BatteryMinder trickle charger on the system. When the street/shore power is on, the trickle charger is charging the batteries and running the sump pump.
When the power goes out it switches the power to the 1200 inverter running from the battery array.
We tested it a few times to make sure it would switch and switch back. Setup was a bit hairy so I suggest you have someone install it who knows home wiring. The diagram on Amazon of the wiring isn't correct. I had to phone the company and they sent me photos of the proper wiring for my application.
Two weeks later we left on vacation. The ground was saturated with the recent rains. While driving to the east coast my daughter called and said the storms took out the neighbors trees which hit and broke the utility pole with the transformer in half. Lines laying out in the street, neighbors with flashlights wondering the streets looking for people with generators they could borrow to keep their basements from flooding. The generators that were available were too heavy to move easily. The power was out for 12 hours before linemen could get a new utility pole and transformer online.
The system and transfer switch worked perfectly. I had my daughter monitor the setup and give us feedback while we were at the beach 900 miles away. Once the power came back online, the system took about 1 day to fully recharge.
Had I not installed it, I would have had a flooded basement and well over $500 worth of damage, and dozens of hassles that the insurance probably wouldn't have covered (no flood insurance).
Get one and have peace of mind while at work or on vacation.

I highly recommend this product.
