they are great for my 3 year old. i used them to introduce time, and set time limit for certain activities. it comes with 4 timer, 1 min, 2 mins 5 mins and 10mins. i really like to use the 2 mins one for brushing teeth and the 10 mins one for bedtime story reading. my daughter also like the bright color of the sand too. in terms of durability, my daughter drop one of them to the hard wood floor from the table the other day, the black plastic was a bit lose (easy to fix) but the glass seems fine. i didnt test its accuracy for time yet, but i dont think its a big deal because it is just for my kid. i will write an update if i got a chance to test them. overall its a nice sand timer.

This set is awesome! I got these initially because I needed a 2 minute time for the kids to keep their brushing routine on track, and also try to reduce the time their showers were. I was originally going to go with a digital timer, but I wanted something different and engaging for the kids. These are perfect!! The kids love flipping it over and watching the sand fall as they brush their teeth. And the 10 minute one in the shower is fun for them too because now its like a challenge. They want to be done before time runs out. (Yes, I still check to make sure they are clean lol) They are also very durable. I can't count how many times they have fallen on the bathroom tile floors and in the bath tub. Didn't break and still good as new.
