About the author
Dan Bolin worked 25 years at Pine Cove Christian Camps near Tyler, Texas, serving first as cabin counselor, then program director, children’s camp director, and the final 14 years, as executive director. During that time, he spent 12 years on the Board of Directors of Christian Camp and Conference Association, two years as chair.
For more than a decade, Dan worked as a senior consultant for the Goehner Group training and equipping numerous camping leaders in the United States and Canada. Dan invested the final 11 years of his career as the International Director of Christian Camping International. Within that role he trained and encouraged Christian camping leaders in more than 30 countries.
Currently Dan is the President of Refueling in Flight Ministries, a Christian nonprofit organization designed to support his speaking, writing, and event leadership.
He has authored ten books and spoken at numerous ministry conferences. He writes a weekly devotional blog - Refueling in Flight - and teaches Outdoor Ministries courses in academic and practitioner contexts.
Dan and his wife, Cay, live outside Washington DC, near their daughter, son-in-law, and two delightful grandchildren.
