I know what you're thinking; it's a .22, does it really matter? Well, I say yes. Before buying this scope, I mounted a Bushnell Banner to my Ruger 10/22. The scope couldn't be zeroed in, couldn't stay in focus, and the cross hairs actually began to rotate. After 2 hours of shooting, I literally threw it off a cliff (irresponsible yes, but rage got the best of me). For only $30 dollars more, I could have bought this Nikon in the first place. I just didn't think a .22 rifle deserved a precision scope, and it was flawed thinking on my part. The Ruger 10/22 is a deadly accurate, reliable, and truly fun to shoot.
In my never-humble opinion, mounting this scope on your .22 rifle is a no-brainer, and should simply be factored into the cost of your new gun.
I've returned it, however, to get a scope with a bit more magnification and sharpness.
Minor issues I could live with:
1) The turrets adjust in 1/4" at 50 yards increments - that's 1/2 MOA . I shoot at 100 yards, and the clicks aren't fine enough for how I use it. It's possible to adjust between clicks, but why?
2) I only had my example to the range three times, but each time, it required 2~3 clicks to re-zero.
Minor issues I didn't want to live with:
1) I could never get the parallax adjustment to fully eliminate the parallax -- and I did have the rifle on a bench rest while I was testing this.
2) I'm a semi-professional photographer, and I was pretty surprised at how much chromatic aberration my example of this scope displayed. I know this is a budget scope, but I thought it would be better. Maybe my expectations were out of line.
3) Again, because I'm a photographer, I'm sensitive to overall sharpness, and edge vs. center sharpness. This glass isn't quite as sharp as I want it, and the edges are noticeably less sharp than the center.

The zoom is easy to use and has plenty of adjustment (3x-9x) for a rimfire or air rifle (all scopes rated for air as per email and phone call to Nikon Canada).
Finally, Nikon has a warranty that can't be beat should something go wrong...highly recommend for the price point!
The glass quality punches above it's price point. The turrets offer consistent, repeatable adjustments which are also resettable. The body is well constructed, and the finish is nice.
There is no cons. I love this scope so much I bought a second one!
