Next I did what I call a ‘fonie’ cheese grits-it it’s not as good as grits but it was ok as a healthy substitute and I would eat it again, as would my husband. My son trying it said it’s a no for him, though it’s smoother with cheese he can’t get past the aftertaste and graininess. My other son said if there was nothing else around he’d eat it the cheesy way, but otherwise no.
So suffice to say it’s very healthy, but an acquired taste.
