stood up quickly with my hand clasped over my mouth.
Screamed “WHAT?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!” And “NO ****ING WAY….!!!!!!”
Paused to take a breather.

11/10 MUST SEE
This little movie, holes aside, walks right into this idea and shipwrecks it. What if Supes wasn't innocently escaping his destroyed homeworld but was deployed here like a sleeper agent? Yeah, that's an interesting little spin right there.
What it is really about are the Kents though. I mean, let's be honest. Harmless farming couple, older, established, and settled. They find a BABY IN A ROCKETSHIP and just.... well, roll with it. You know, I understand cognitive dissonance as a concept but, this is a bit much right? The Kents in this retelling really do act like psychopaths with how okay they are about everything. Oh, our miracle alien starbaby is acting weird. Huh, must just be regular teen angst. Ummm.... no. No, aliens do not get to have "regular human" anything, guys.
And how did this kid make it along so far? How'd he even get into school with no vaccines, I thought that was a no-no, even with the flat-earthers now running around.
I give it some stars for audacity and how blatantly they managed to make this about the three Kents without having DC come and litigate them into non-existence. Its great to see a different style of retelling entirely, even though from a dramatic standpoint, this thing is maybe 1.5 stars on its own.
Maybe Shyamalan can add Brightburn to his Easttrail 177 trilogy. That would be something else.
