Thought this was going to be a blessing, only to discover that this was a Scam! Thank goodness that Amazon and Affirm caught on to it. Also my local Postal Service were made aware. Thanks to all of these wonderful people I was given a refund.
I used mine for steralizing food jars and spawn bags for mushrooms with no faults, works absolutely fine. I found a good tip was to line the cooker with a damp tea towel to stop any melting or overheating
This is so easy to use, fill it up as per instructions, wait till its been boiling for 10 mins, put the weight on and wait till its done! Not unexpectedly because of its size it takes a LONG time to boil (I guess also depends on the strength of your heat source) its very heavy when full but the ease of use makes those a minor when considering the results.
I'm now in love with Canning - so easy to make homemade, wholesome meal-in-a-jar's tailored to my nutrition needs. I come home after a long day and have only to open a jar and heat it and I have a balanced healthy meal! I use them to take away on days out, leave for hubby when I'm away, give away as presents ... meat cans beautifully and makes an easy meal and on top of that i'm saving precious freezer space, I make my own evap milk that we love in coffee ... and on it goes - really happy I spent the money, its paid for itself already.
