This pen camera delivers on its claims of capturing video and audio really well. Best of all its a real functioning pen and is easy to operate, charge and review footage. The instructions that come with the pen are basic and contain all the info needed to get it up and running. Setting the date/time stamp was fun and very different to other devices (you have to create a text file and store it on the pen - more details in the instructions). Once you work out from the instructions the number of clicks/presses for different functions and the corresponding light indicators its easy to operate. It takes a little practice to do this smoothly without alerting attention to yourself.
The video quality is good for the price point and is adequate to capture the situation, but its not going to win you any oscars. The audio quality of the recording is good and even captured audio very clearly when completely covered over in my pocket. The picture capture function of the pen worked well, but to get a good picture, you need to keep the device really still or the image turns out blurry.
It is easy to review footage, the tip of the pen screws off and you can directly plug the USB connector into the computer and review like you would a memory card or USB stick (the package had a USB extension cable as well which is handy when you have to plug it into the back of a computer or use with a charger brick to charge the device. Changing the pen inks is easy as well (several replacements come in the pack - it requires a screwdriver to change over). My only criticism is that the size and weight of the pen is a bit bigger than a normal pen (which slightly detracts from its covertness).
It is also worth noting that the pen came with an internal 32gb of memory (not sure if you can change this) which is a good amount for recording several hours (it records in 10 min blocks, ongoing). Overall very happy with this purchase and would recommend it (good value for money).
