Harvest Plant CuttingsUse pruners or scissors to take cuttings. For most plants, a 4-6 inch stem cutting from current year’s growth is most common. For woody cuttings, wound by making a 3/4 inch notch at cut end. |
Use Miracle-Gro FastRoot1First, pour a small amount of Miracle-Gro FastRoot1 Dry Powder Hormone into a small container. Then take your plant cutting and dip the cut end 3/4 to 1-inch into the powder. Be sure to tap off excess powder. Do not return unused powder to the original container because of contamination risk. |
Plant Your CuttingsIt’s important to immediately plant your cuttings in moist media. Use a pencil to poke a hole in the soil, insert cutting, and gently press soil around cutting. Then care for the cuttings as appropriate for the plant variety. For fast root development, try using Miracle-Gro Seed Starting Potting Mix. |
Caring For Your New Plants
Place cuttings in a warm spot out of direct sunlight. It’s very important to keep the soil moist until roots form and grow. Also, watch for insects and fungus.

I took the cuttings and after watching a few YouTube videos I went to it. Much to my delight, all the cuttings are taking root with very little effort.
Tips for rooting roses: Be sure the cutting is scuffed up a bit (in the case of roses) to expose what's under the tough, green skin. Remove thorns, leaves and any blooms prior to attempting to have the cutting take root. And make sure the piece is wet before dipping into the FastRoot. Have a container with potting soil ready and holes (made by a pencil - works well) already in the medium so that the least amount of FastRoot is knocked off when placing in the dirt.
This product is a good one - better than Clonex which I tried unsuccessfully first. Easy to use and it works as expected.
that gives off a smell of enchantingly delightful pentrate pentrate emits prayers. Been using 3 part formula for the root hormones
coupled with organic fertilizer and bloom booster in the potting soil. This has created for great starts when putting in the full
3 months into bottom potting soil where the seeds sit themselves that enhances the time by decreasing the need to water the growing plants themselves.
When the soil is moist with the 3 part forumla underneath as the seed emerges the plants sit themselves in two parts with the roots
going into the formula soil while the outer top part sits on the more dry soil area that was placed on top of the seeds as they lay there.
Use a combination of Scotts Miracle Gro 100645 Fast Root Hormone, Dr. Earth 707P Organic 8 Bud & Bloom Fertilizer in Poly Bag, 4-Pound, &
MG LB Bloom Booster as the 3 part formula. Place the whole 3 month supply of the combined formula at the same time in the soil have been using
Michigan Peat 1250 Baccto Premium Potting Soil, 50-Pound. Place the first part the bottom soil in the 5 Gallon White Bucket & Lid - Set of 3 - Durable 90 Mil All Purpose Pail - Food Grade - BPA Free Plastic -
usually get 2 sets being a total of 6 buckets and put the seeds on the formula enhanced soil itself with the second part of soil the top soil they grow through.
As the soil decreases in moisture the plants are already emerged out from the seeds leaving the remaining amount of liquid content there
for the forming plants with the 3 months supply of the 3 part formula already there.
Start the bucket garden inside about the last two to three weeks of winter during the start of early Spring. For the beginning part the growing seeds
don't need a light source when they are still emerging from the shells themselves. So when the start of growth as the plant emerges with leaf alone
use the Miracle-Gro 1001233 All Purpose Plant Food - 5 Pound for the bucket garden. Seeing about the 2nd month into early 3rd month the buckets
with the growing seeds and formulated soils have gone almost dry. By that point about early May it is time to put the 6 buckets that make up the bucket garden
of dragons head moldovia balm milkweed, common sagebrush gipsywort glade purple coneflower sage white that gives off a smell of enchantingly delightful pentrate pentrate emits prayers
outside for the remaining months until September or October.
I bought this on the March 27th, I didn’t use it until the 29th. Today is April 6th and all but a couple of my Pothos clippings had their root nodes bud!
I dipped each moistened node in the powder and placed them in a glass of room temp water. (See photo.) the water was nasty and gross to look at but I ignored the urge to replace the water for over a week, only refilling it as the water level dropped. When I did replace the water, I did NOT rinse the clippings. I wanted ever RootFast residue that was left on them to keep working it’s magic. I am hoping to be able to plant my clippings in soil by the end of the month. I’ll update then.
