Misunderstandings provoke Ryan to think he should tone down his style for the love of his life, Jamie. What would we do for a romantic premise if it weren’t for misunderstandings and miscommunications? This is a likable nugget of romance.

Short but so, so sweet!

Ryan and Jamie are an already established couple, living together for the last couple of months and everything had been going great up until recently. Sneaky phone calls, distracting texts, changing of passwords and leaving without explanation of where or with who has Ryan an insecure, heartbroken mess. All signs lead to Jamie losing interest, after all, he’s so much different than Jamie, right?

Where Jamie is shy and keeps to himself, Ryan is out there, living his best life, with his blue hair, gorgeous eyeliner, and bold and bright clothes. Ryan thinks that maybe he’s a bit too much and if it means losing Jamie, he can tone it down some, right? Strip the blue and lose the eyeliner, it would be boring and he’d feel plain and simple, but he’d do it for Jamie.

I cried all the tears! All of them! At four in the morning, because I hated that Ryan felt like he had to change himself to be what someone else wanted. How often do people do that? It kills me every time.

Just when Ryan realized he couldn’t live without Jamie, he was convinced he was going to lose him.
All is not as it seems though, and though I won’t give the rest away, I will say that I adored Jamie and his love for Ryan and I wish so badly that there was more to this couple…. I’d read them all day! I would love to know how they started out together….

Wait, this is a first for me from this author, so I’m going to have to go look… but even if not, just read this one… it’s o sweet, a little heartbreaking for a quick minute, but it ended in the best possible way. I need more of them!

This is a wonderful short story about the uncertainty of a new relationship and the realization of love. When Ryan, who dresses loudly and wears makeup, thinks his boyfriend, Jamie is moving on from their relationship. Although the insecurity is a bit angsty, Ryan is brave and confronts Jamie about his fears. It's a great short read and you can feel the love between the two men!

Eyeliner and Lace is so super short almost more of a snippet but that's okay because it works. I'm not really going to say too much about this one because it is so short and I don't want to give anything away. Just know that despite its shortness, this is an amazing look at love, fear, friendship, romance, and assumptions. That's right, I said assumptions and we all know what happens when we assume😉😉. I don't want to say Jamie and Ryan need to communicate more because there are times when secrets are necessary but when we let fear reign over the possibilities behind secrets, well that's when trouble can happen. Eyeliner and Lace is a lovely little gem that is worth the read and will leave a smile on your face.

Ryan is losing Jamie. He thinks it’s because his hair is to blue or his eyeliner is to much or his clothes aren’t right or just because... He can dye his hair, get rid of the liner, take back the lacy underwear (well maybe not that). He will do anything to keep his man.

Very short little snippet of a story. Cute and sweet. I can see Ryan, the author brought him alive. I liked it.
