Tri-Roller Feeding System & Reversible BladesThe WEN Thickness Planer uses a tri-roller feeding system to help minimize snipe. The three dual-edged blades on the middle roller can be reversed to help elongate their life cycle and ensure sharp cuts. |
Fine-Tune Depth AdjustmentsEasily adjust the height of your planer with the comfortable rubber-grip adjustment handle. Each quarter rotation adjusts the height of the cutter head 1/64 of an inch for maximum precision during operation. |
Infeed and Outfeed TablesFoldable infeed and outfeed tables add support to longer workpieces traveling through the planer. Both tables can be adjusted to get the perfect angle for smoothly feeding boards for smoothly feeding boards and fighting snipe. |
Dust Hose Connection PortAttach a dust extraction device or a wet/dry vac to the handy 2 inch, 2-1/2 inch, or 4 inch fan-assisted dust port adapter to minimize cleanup. Keep all of the sawdust and shavings in one place instead of all over the workshop floor. |

Product Description
Remember when you brought those old jagged boards back to life? The WEN 13-inch 3-Blade Benchtop Thickness Planer repurposes rough and worn wood to give it an exceptionally smooth finish. The powerful 15-amp motor provides over 25,500 cuts per minute at a 26 feet per minute feed rate. Plane boards up to 13 Inch wide and 6 Inch thick with ease. The onboard planning gage helps inform users about the amount of material being removed during each pass. Combine that with the heavy duty cast iron base for a sturdy planer that does not walk or wobble during operation. The handy depth adjustment knob varies each pass to take off anywhere from 0 to 3/32 of an inch. The fan-assisted dust port removes chips and sawdust from the work piece and blasts them out of the way. This package also includes height-adjustable infeed and outfeed tables to limit snipe while providing extra support to your work piece during planning. Easily mount the planer to a work surface or stand using the predrilled base holes. Repurpose old wood or make a set of boards flush with the WEN 13-inch 3-Blade Benchtop Thickness Planer. And because it's a WEN product, this planer comes backed by a nationwide network of skilled service technicians, a helpful customer support line and a two-year warranty. Remember when your planer could handle even the hardest of woods? Remember WEN.

Not only is this planer a little lighter weight than the Dewalt equivalent, but it works just as well if not better. The included dust shroud works very well and overall this is a very sturdy and powerful tool. It’s very easy to adjust the settings and the preset thickness depth gauge on the right side is fairly accurate.
I especially like the depth gauge on the front which makes it easy to set the beginning cut depth
Month later, and I am so pleased with the quality of this tool I bought the Wen 10-inch band saw. Again, love the quality, workability and top-notch features on this one as well. Set-up took some time, and I had to fine-tune the blade guide adjustments. I think I have done more re-sawing than detailing, making some veneer knife handles. I also noted the space between the legs, so I built that into a cabinet for blades, tools and related stuff. Add two sanders (belt and oscillating) and I have found a new tool company until there is a reason not to use their products. My shop is a happier place now/ Thanks, WEN!!
I've returned it for the DW734 Dewalt. I'll review that one after I've had a chance to use it some, but the lesson learned is that trying to save a buck just isn't always worth it with tools. Something that I know perfectly well but can't seem to stop myself from doing anyway.
