Denise Reed is a good person. She volunteers at her church and a retirement home. Through no fault of her own, she finds herself unemployed and making ends meet by playing a hotdog in a Hollywood movie being filmed in New Orleans. While chatting with one of the other extras, she falls to the ground and struggles uselessly to get up while a mugger violently attacks her new friend. Feeling guilty when her friend is hospitalized, Denise uses her time on the set to ferret out the mugger- all while trying to find less embarrassing employment, juggle two suitors, and care for her daughter. No, sir! Nothing will keep this hotdog down!
