Minty Muffins saved my horse’s life
A few days ago on the 23rd of December my 28 year old mare injured herself in the pasture and when I found her a couple of hours later she was colicking from the pain. I could barely get her to walk to her stall. The vet advised me that her best chance of survival was to trailer her to the equine hospital a couple of hours away so they could treat the colic. I decided not to as I didn’t think she would survive the trailer ride and if she did she might die at the animal hospital without me being there.I came to the sad conclusion that I needed to let her pass peacefully at home. As the vet was preparing I told my husband to bring the last bag of Minty Muffins from the house and start taking all the peppermints out of them. ( I use the muffin part to hide her Cushings medicine but she is never allowed the mints because she is also insulin resistant - she shouldn’t even have the muffins but the residual peppermint flavor is enough to obscure the bitterness of her pills and it’s the best part of her day so she gets the one a day without the mint in the middle).I decided that if I was going to put her to sleep she would go out with the taste of real peppermints in her mouth which she loves so much! So there we were feeding the mints from the muffins to her and to my surprise she perked up a little and started to show interest. After a few minutes I decided not to go ahead with the euthanasia but rather wait and see how she did over the next few hours with help from the vet who was sceptical but kind enough not to say anything. Every time my mare started to falter I gave her a mint.It wasn’t easy, and Christmas gifts weren’t wrapped this year, but its 3 days later and she is on the road to recovery.Thankyou Minty Muffins. You saved my horse’s life this Christmas and I am so grateful.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality and nothing like the picture

There no crunchy mint in the middle of any of the treats! Every mint has melted to a gooey mess. There is little resemblance to any of the photos presented in the product description as shown in the attached photos.
