Customers are mixed about the delay of the TV tuner card. Some mention that the quality is exceptional with no noticeable latency, while others say that the lag varies quite a bit between their 2 cameras. The videos came out jerky due to real-time processing of HDMI video to MPEG2s, and the video lags when it gets hot. Audio did NOT WORK when plugging into a USB 3.0 port, and there is a significant lag between the audio and video recording. There is also a very slight choppiness in the video.

Magewell's website has the full specs for this device, and also a link to download the accompanying utility for Windows/Mac/Linux to adjust all of the various device parameters, audio levels, etc: http://www.magewell.com/usb-capture-hdmi (click the 'Utility' link at the top of the page to download for your platform)
- Uses the USB UVC protocol-- this means the device is plug-and-play, and acts like a webcam under most software; on Windows, it can be used a DirectShow source, and shows up as a /dev/videoX V4L2 device on Linux. Brightness, contrast, and resolution can also be adjusted via the UVC protocol without using the accompanying Magewell utility
- Supports up/down-scaling, aspect ratio, crop, deinterlacing, desaturation, and color space conversion (RGB, YUV BT 601/709/2020) in hardware
- Will capture in YUY2 (default), UYVY, RGB24, or RGB32 formats
- Supports a max resolution of 2048x2160 for capture (max input of 2048x2228) up to 60 fps (up to 75 fps w/ YUY2 format at 1080p, up to 120 fps at lower resolutions)
- Supports custom and arbitrary video resolutions and framerates
- Captures PCM audio, and the input level can be adjusted (from +6 dB to -80 dB or muted)
- Can load/save custom EDID profiles to emulate certain devices. EDID information is used to tell the source device what formats are supported by the sink (in this case, the capture device)
- Can use multiple devices on a single machine. To do this, you'll need to open up the Magewell utility, click the Advanced tab, then set Device Name to "Serial number"
- By default, the device will show a test pattern with "NO SIGNAL" text. This might not be desirable. In this case, use the Magewell utility to change the "Status image" from 'Default' to 'Black' (under the Advanced tab)
I have included a couple screenshots from the Magewell utility (under Linux, but the capabilities are the same under Mac/Windows)

Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2017
I purchased the Magewell XI100DUSB capture device over the cheaper knock-offs because it supports resolutions of up to 1920x1200 (This is the native resolution of my Cintiq graphics tablet, and the reason I needed this resolution). Setup was a breeze... Set the USBCaptureUtility configuration to the desired resolution.... It then appears as a monitor of that resolution to the computer from which I was capturing/duplicating the cintiq video ( i.e. it looked like a 1920x1200 monitor to the computer being captured. )
Love this product.
I have noticed that the device gets only slightly warm. If there was a heat issue, as suggested in some posts I read here, it seems it has been resolved or improved upon. I have my device laying flat upon the top of my computer case, which might be assisting in cooling it. I do not suggest having it buried under stuff or in a place where air can not get to it, none the less.
Only things to note are the following...
1. This device gets quite warm to the touch after *many* hours of usage (6+ hours).
2. Maximum resolution is 1080p, so if you plan to use it on a camera that is more than 1080p, it will have issues (not downscale). This honestly is not an issue for me.
3. Flawless and silky smooth video feed, no stuttering - as long as the receiving device can support the incoming data.
4. Appears to support 1080p at 60fps at 50mbps without issue.
5. The connectors for the HDMI and USB snap into place are tight fitting, great so that it doesn't slip out while on the road.
The only drawback to this device is that you legitimately have no control over the blue leds that light up when plugged in. A quick fix to that was using a little bit of small electrical tape to cover it.
