Product description
Take home your catch limit with a buddy after a day in the Sevylor Colorado 2-Person Fishing Kayak. With 18-gauge PVC, a thick tarpaulin bottom and a tough nylon cover, this kayak is durable enough to get you to your favorite out-of-the-way fishing hole. Just in case, though, the multiple air chambers will help you get back to shore. The adjustable seats will keep you paddling comfortably the whole trip. But if you want to move more easily, you can always add the Sevylor trolling motor and store your paddles in the convenient holders. The Berkley Quick Set Rod Holders let you adjust your pole angle for the ultimate hands-free fishing experience. With your hands free, it's easier to take care of your gear, which stores nicely in the mesh pockets or attached to D-rings.

P.S. We recommend getting at least 99” paddles since it is wider than a regular kayak.

It handles waves well, and feels pretty sturdy; it's quite hard to tip. It is however slow to paddle, and the Berkley rod holder mounts can get in the way of your paddle if you're using a kayak paddle. If you do plan on using a kayak paddle, I suggest going with something long like 250cm, otherwise a single paddle does allow you to avoid the mount a lot more. Because this has high sides, it also catches the wind rather easily. You can run it with a keel or without one, but I suggest using it.
This kayak isn't perfect, but I am pretty happy with it. Considering I bought it for fishing, it does the job just fine. I can get to where need to go, albeit slow, and my 3.5lb anchor holds me in place. The Berkley rod holders work fine, but I normally leave it sitting in my lap unless I need it, and opt to use the rod holders in the rear, but my son loves using his up in the front. As mentioned there is plenty of room, I can put my fishing backpack behind me, or if I am alone I put it up front. Any items I may want to access quick (water bottle, pliers, etc) I can fit in the pouches on the side or the pouches on the back of the second seat. To put it in perspective I was able to go fishing with my son and still could fit a bit more when I brought the backpack full of stuff, 2 rods, safety gear, and anchor.

that is suppose to be above average. boat started
Taking on water fast and lucky for me that i was not too far away from the shore then i had to walk back couple of blocks with that heavy wet boat on my shoulder. I returned it to amazon and i lost confidence in inflatable boats
Have a lot of detail that definitly makes the difference. I do strongly recomend it.

There is plenty of space for preservers and tackle (especially if you don't have a battery box), plenty of webbed areas for holding smaller items. Very stable, not tippy at all. Seats offer good support but will need to be occasionally adjusted (once I found the right support, I only needed to adjust it once more in a couple of hours of paddling.
My only concern was there was about a half cup of standing water on the deck when we pulled in, it may have been due to residual water from passing the oars over the bow, dripping into the interior. I read another review that said if the cells are not inflated enough it might leak.... I'm thinking the deck may have been under inflated. The amount of water on the deck was not noticeable while we were underway, we only found it when we pulled ashore.
My shoulder hurts from patting myself on the back for making this purchase, I wish I would have done it 40 years ago.
