Most important to know: MIX IT QUICKLY AFTER ADDING

Most important to know: MIX IT QUICKLY AFTER ADDING
So yea, mix it while stirring or mix it quickly after adding to a liquid mixture because it'll jelly up on you in chucks that are not too pleasing to feel, haha! I don't recommend trying to use it in a shaker ball bottle but maybe in a blender? Personally, I use it to thicken my food like my keto pancakes! I use cream cheese, eggs, and a little bit of this and OMG SO THICC. Can't taste this stuff either -- it's perfect and a little goes ALL THE WAY.

I ordered because I was making a Gumbo for a Luncheon at my house with my neighbor. She sticks to a Keto diet because of major stomach issues. We all Loved the Gumbo and I was glad to find a product that would thicken with out the Carbs.

I think it’s an absolutely must for keto baking. From my experience it works great with coconut flour and the results are amazing.

Uh, if your pre mixed GF flour has this in it, do not add more! This is more for DIY where you mix coconut, rice, sourgum, flax meal and other GF flours and meals to make your own!
Xanthan gum replaces gummy wheat gluten for GF bread. If you add too much, your intestines will let you know!

As a professional baker I use Xanthan gum on a regular basis. I used to pay $13 for the same size package of another brand And then I found this. It works just as well and it’s cheaper plus the packaging is nicer.

First time using xanthan gum as a thickener. I used it in a stew and was pleasantly pleased. It didn’t alter the taste in the least and it thickened better, in my opinion, than cornstarch. The only suggestion I have is to offer it in a much smaller size; like the size spices come in.

This product got the job done, but it was a hassle. I use xanthan gum in my soups and stews and have never had a problem with it until I tried this brand. Like I said, it did thicken the soup, but I had to work really hard to get it to dissolve. The first teaspoon I added directly to the soup, like I normally would, but it immediately clumped up and refused to mix. I scooped the blob out, threw it away and tried mixing a teaspoon of it in a cup of hot water then adding it to the soup that way. This finally worked, though clumps still remained.

For the price, I’m not dissatisfied, as I’m used to paying twice as much, but I think I will use up what’s left then purchase a different one next time.

I had never used this product before but so glad I found it. If putitng into a hot stew or gravy, put a little bit into cool water and stir thoroughly or you'll have lumps. I sprinkled a litte in whipping cream (chilled) and it was fine, so I'm thinking that the heat makes it lumpy....

Got this because we saw online that if you want to
Make homemade Frappuccino’s like at Starbucks, this is what you need to make the consistency thicker and stop the liquids from separating! And it did work.
Now if only I can find a way to get them to taste as good

4.0 out of 5 stars First Experience with Xanthan Gum
Reviewed in Canada on March 22, 2020
I have never used Xanthan gum before. So far all I've used it for is to thicken soup and stir fry juices. It works very well for that. A word of caution - premix a small amount to some of the liquid you are trying to thicken first. I slowly added a quarter teaspoon to a half cup until all dissolved and then added that mixture to my pot of soup. I did this several times. If you don't do this you run the risk of the powder clumping and then not dissolving into the soup.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you are looking to make a rice noodle at home, this is the thing
Reviewed in Canada on February 18, 2021
I bought it to make rice noodle at home, rice flour doesn't have gluten so it's hard to make noodle like normal flour.
According some youtube videos, I bought this xanthan gum as a way to make rice noodle. overall, it does the trick. couples of grams will be enough to mix with approx. 400g rice flour and water. And it's actually kinda fun to make rice noodle at home.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for copycat starbucks frappe!
Reviewed in Canada on March 31, 2020
My boyfriend loves mocha frappes and I've been trying to recreate the starbucks one at home but the ice & liquid would seperate no matter what I did. Turns out the missing ingredient is xanthan gum! You just need a tiny amount, about 1/8-1/4 tsp per drink so this bag should last a long time. It makes the consistency velvety and wonderful without affecting the taste! Will be trying it in other items as a thickener too like sauces, stews etc. Great product.
