I purchased these for my long haired Persian cat. I had bought Conair hair cutting scissors (used for people), and these ones blow them out of the water. My cat hated the sound and sawing motion the old scissors made. I would try to snip his hair quick and secretly, but he would hear and feel it. These new scissors cut with no effort at all, and I can do it without him even noticing when he’s lying down. I kind of feel bad for using the other scissors on him now. Plus, the ends are round so I can’t just accidentally stick him. Anyway, I’m glad I got them even though they were more than I wanted to spend. I wish there was an option to buy one pair instead of two. There really isn’t much difference between the two pairs. One pair is about the size of a pen, the other is a little smaller.
