Great knife for whitewater, but received a model different than what's pictured.
4 Stars
Great knife for whitewater, but received a model different than what's pictured.
I bought this for whitewater kayaking. Your knife needs to be accessible but most knifes that attach to the outside of PFD get lost or worse might get caught on something. This knife is small enough to attach to the outside without being a nuance. The case seems very secure, and I don't think it will easily come out by accident.Pros: Both the case and knife are well made. I haven't had it in the water long, but I think it will be durable. I'll update this review if not. It's the smallest knife I could find. The case also has good attachment options.Cons:I got a different knife than what was pictured. The attached picture is what I got. I didn't think the difference worth the annoyance of returning it, but this is the reason for 4 stars not 5. To be fair, this may have been the shipper's fault not the seller's.The handle is small. Being small is also it's main pro, but some may find the handle to small to comfortably use the knife. You basically need to hold the knife between your thumb and index finger.

This is a great little knife. This easily attaches to my BC and/or other dive gear without being in the way. This is well made and very sharp for its size. Perfect for cutting away netting and fishing line off of marine animals while maintaining a low profile.

Really great little dive knife. Clips into a little holder that attaches to your BCD (if you have an aqualung BCD). Clearly will do the job of untangling yourself from fishing line or whatever. No need to be Rambo under water. Less is more.

Will you use it? Probably. Probably not. Do you want something to help you out while your struggling at depth and using up all your gas? Heck Yes!

Be prepared when you dive!

I had purchased another cutting tool that didn't easily mount to my AquaLung BCD. This one is easy to attach and has a nice quality blade. The action seem secure, it clips in well but is easy to retrieve.

Love this little knife. I have it on the mounting tab of my NRS Chinook life vest and it is exactly what I was looking for. Small compact package that is never in the way. I have large hands and with the grip strap it is perfectly useable. Sharp serrations I expect with have no trouble cutting my out of a bad situation should I find myself in one. Functional and looks great too. Everyone who sees it on my pdf wants one.
