    Overall, excellent, but...
I've had this for a year now and am overall very pleased. Actions are smooth and quality seems high. I feel it will last a long time. A problem I have noticed recently , though, is as follows: When having a large camera on with a large lens, my Sigma 150-600mm C lens, at 4.3 lbs., I turn the tension up so that when I loosen up the head to move around it has some tension on it so it's not easily flopping around. The problem comes when I go to tighten the ballhead on my subject the whole thing tends to push downward and off the subject. I have to imprecisely guess how much it will push down and then tighten to get on my subject and this might even take two or three tries to get correct. A solution to this issue is to loosen the tension so it's real loosey goosey and flopping around. When I tighten the ballhead down then it does not have this tendency to push forward. It is unfortunate that it doesn't maintain it's position when tension is high for heavier loads but I also don't know if it happens on all or maybe just mine after time and use has passed. Anyway, keeping it for now as that it's only during special use times, heavier loads, that I really notice it and have to deal with it. My star score would definitely be higher, probably a 5, if it weren't for this issue.Upgraded to 4 stars in 4/2019 as I've been using it a lot and it simply, for the money, has been very solid. Glad I bought it, highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great solid Ball head with pro features
Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2020
Love this Ball Head. I chose it because smaller ball heads experienced creep when using my 200-600mm lens, My load rating was half the rating but it still moved no matter how tight I set it. The B4 is rock solid. Just a snug on the friction knobs and it stops all movement , except for panning or angle adjustments, you can still move those without the lens moving on its own. The knobs are different sizes so you don't accidentally mix them up, they have rubberized coating for a good grip and the Arca-Swiss coupler has a feature where if it were to ever loosen your setup will not fail off. Fantastic design. Quality is excellent, features are great and I highly recommend this. Don't confuse it with a light weight travel head, its not. It's bigger and heavier, but I don't hike 15 miles with my gear so it's worth having a rock solid setup. I see this head and my Benro tripod lasting my lifetime, it's that good.

5.0 out of 5 stars High quality professional Ball Head.
Reviewed in India on October 24, 2023
I was looking for a light weight and tough build professional ball head with all features for my travel monopod Manfrotto MPMXPROA4. Benro B0 grab my attention. This unit is fantastic, precisely engineered and built tough. It easily hold my Nikon D810 with 70-200 or Nikon 14-24 f2.8, quiet a heavy combination (More than 2 Kg weight) without any problem
I could not find any review with all minor details. This may help others. First It's tripod/monopod base mount thread is 3/8' and it comes with a 1/4' Female To Female Convertor Threaded Screw along with an allen key. So it is compatible with all Monopod/Tripod. Quick Release Plate is Arca -Swiss Style with 4 rubber pads to add grip to camera. Size of QR plate PU50 is 50mm(L) x 38mm(W) is decent enough to hold large DSLR. It has safety-stop screws on the bottom to prevent accidental camera fall. Maximum height of this ball head with base plate is 90 mm with 290 grams of total weight. Mentioned load capacity is 8 Kg. I don't have such heavy equipment to test but I am sure it can handle 4Kg. easily (If you don’t mind weight and require more sturdier support, go for Benro B1) It is made of machined Aluminum with high level of quality. The knobs on the body are also made of metal with hard rubber grips on them. All knobs are of different sizes, so no confusion for one knob over another. locking knob is the largest. Ball movement is fairly smooth and 360 degree panning base is Excellent and can be used for videos. Friction control is not precise but does the trick.
A quick release of camera require pulling out the release knob to pull and turn. This is an additional step to release the camera but is a nice feature because it prevent accidental tumbling of your expensive DSLR and lens. It is easy to use once you get the hang of it. There are too many options for heavy ball heads in the market but if you are looking for a small, lightweight and smooth professional ball head for travelling or hiking, B0 is a decent companion.
