I was worried it would be too small. I can stick it to my knee and play while in online class as a fidget or ride in the car while listening to the radio. I wouldn't use a large one as regularly because I fly a lot and I can put the sticks away to handle classwork or something without clearing a whole place for notes. If you can whack a Moleskine notebook this is about the same size useable surface area. very compact and will fit in a carry-on without leaving a lump. rebound is good when worn or on a flat surface. higher pitch due to size. material quality is good. doesn't bounce away when placed on a flat surface.

I'm really enjoying this pad, it was exactly what I was looking for - a small practice pad that's easy to carry around and it doesn't need to be fancy.

Nice practice pad although I personally would prefer a bit less bounce to the rubber but that is highly subjective. Size is fine, a bit small but you should be able to control the accuracy of your sticking without much trouble. So much nicer than hitting my leg until it glows red with pain. The strap is slightly awkward when attaching and detaching but not sure how else it could be done.
Overall, no major issues especially if you like a very bouncy stick reaction.

Stop annoying everyone with your hacking /“warm up”; get this and drum as much as you need practically anywhere. If you feel silly strapping it to your knee, get over it. You need the practice, but we don’t want to hear it.

I bought this to travel with, but it quickly became my go-to pad. The 4" surface forces you to keep your hits tidy. Before long, you'll be questioning why practice pads are so big and heavy in the first place. if you get two, you can practice fills between the two and tidy up your playing even more. Surface is quiet enough to play in a hotel room without concern for noise. Nicely done Gibraltar.

Auch als Schlagzeuganfänger finde ich es gut geeignet um Schlagtechniken wie "double stroke rolls" zu trainieren. Das Pad macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Es hat einen Durchmesser von nur 10 cm, sodass man beim bespielen auch die Präzision trainiert. Es ist zudem durch die gummierte Oberfläche angenehm leise. Ideal also auch auf Reisen oder wenn man zu später Stunde noch üben möchte. Der Rebound (Rückfederung der Drumsticks) ist recht stark, was es mir persönlich einfacher macht die Schlagtechniken zu üben.

The strap is removable, which means you can set the pad on a surface or something. I have short legs, so it's a little uncomfortable to use for long periods strapped above my knee, but it definitely does the trick.
