Perfect for the Travel Trailer Life on the Road
I've been looking for a portable pellet grill and smoker for quite some time. Almost bought the Green Mountain but then this came along. Read all rave reviews--hard to find one at decent price. The secret was out. The folding feature was probably the number one reason for buying this. It's 38" L x 18.5" W x 21" H folded. The height was key to fit under my diamond plate tonneau on the F250. Unfolding and folding the legs is a bit wonky. Outside of that, it grills and smokes great as it should. Hopper, auger, hot section, drip pan, control unit, stainless lid, and latches are excellent design. I bought a wireless dual temp monitor. Wish it had a folding or removable smokestack but I may add that later. Let me say that I really wanted to give this 5 stars but not in good conscience. These are mostly design and quality fails, as usual. My gripes are the following:1. The wheels rub on the frame. Most of the time the wheels don't even rotate when moving. Even worse when folded as it rubs on the hopper box. I've tightened the wheel shafts but no dice. I'll need to install spacers. This likely caused by #2.2. The legs and leg supports are crap steel as with most grills. They're unstable when unfolded. And there's way too much give in the leg supports. Again, I'll likely modify. Thicker gauge steel isn't too much to ask at $400-500 bones!3. The grease bucket attachment and location are a trainwreck. The bucket is unstable when attached. If there's any kind of wind, the grease usually ends up dripping down the leg, onto the wheel, and then on the ground. Unacceptable. And the bucket rubs on the leg. I'll need to think about the modification on this.4. The fit on ash cleanout pan and the top grate are again crap. If you don't have a cover, the ash pan will clang around like church bell on windy days. I remove the bucket and ash pan when I put her to bed. I highly recommend a cover. You're just throwing your money otherwise. The top grate has fallen out me a few times, I usually remove this. May add some fireproof gasket material to ash pan and replace the grate. Simple stuff, Camp Chef.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding pellet grill
Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2020
I have a Camp Chef SmokePro ZG that I use extensively at home, and we wanted something to use when we were out in our RV. The Pursuit fit the bill nicely. I has the same controls that I am already used to on the SmokePro ZG, and has almost all the same features. It folds up nicely and fits in the storage compartment of the RV. Setup takes just a few moments, and they you are rolling smoke. Highly recommended.

Pros: Camp Chef quality and features is a portable package. Stores nicely in the RV
Cons: It is heavy - around 80 lbs - so it helps to have someone to assist when it is time to put it away.
