The quality is amazing, the sound is amazing, and it looks really nice and sleek and takes up very minimal space.
The only main problem I had is that it is not explained in the description or the instructions that it complicates your user experience if you intend to use it in an already Alexa enabled TV. I can’t just use the speaker on the fire tv. The sound won’t go through that way. I have to switch the tv to the hdmi that the speaker is connected to. It wouldn’t be so bad if I could just use ONE REMOTE for both but instead I have to keep up with two different remotes.
Had sound syncing issues at first, but changed the option ‘Match Original Frame rate’ to On. I do not know why but I have had problems with this option with Fire TVs and my TV. Never had this problem with my Rokus.
For normal TV, the sound is alright, however, I think that has more to do with the apps I am watching TV stations is broadcasting in stereo. When playing Jack Ryan in 4K on Amazon Prime, the sound difference was very noticeable .... a lot better, better bass, better surround. I think you need to set expeditions based upon what you are going to be watching the most.
Yes, I too think that the amount of memory is low. I installed Sling, Netflix, Pluto TV, Crackle, Locast and Tubi. Only 2.5 GB left.
The remote .... hhhmmmm. Yes, there are times, that it seems a little slow. Using the Mute button does not always work the first time. I too would have liked more than Infra Red. The direction button when clicking is kinda loud.
There are times that turning on the sound bar and TV together does not work and gets out of sync. A little annoying to then have to get the TV remote to turn it on.
Would have wished that there was Ethernet on this sound bar. Right now, haven’t seen any issues with WIFi. Just like to have the TV hardwired.
Have noticed that while watching YouTube, the sound eventually get seriously out of sync. I do not know if this is the app or sound bar.
Haven't tried to see if I can add the Soundbar to an Alexa group. I would like to see if I could do this, especially, if I could sync with an Echo Studio If anybody had tried this, I would like to know the results.
2019-12-15 - Update
Want to like it and keep it, but decided to return it. Got a Fire TV Cube 2nd Gen and a Samsung 2.1 Soundbar with Subwoofer (HW-M435/ZA) for the same price as this unit ... Christmas special prices. Fire TV Cube is faster. Works faster with my Air TV 2. Like that the Samsung soundbar has an HDMI in and out, so you can do sound pass through.
>>>> None found in the box.
Remote seems a bit iffy. Most of the time, I have to manually power on the soundbar in the cases of initial power connection AND if the power went out.
Otherwise, the remote functions, including the power button... HOWEVER, that's NOT really the way it should work. The power button should turn on the soundbar, period... according to the setup instructions.
The soundbar is a bit of a nuisance because there are no mounting screws... NOT the ones for the wall (those are NOT included by design), but the ones to mount the wall brackets to the soundbar!
I contacted the company with this issue and requested the two screws because it's ridiculous to return an item when a company can mail two screws for a few cents... AND because then I'm without the soundbar for another week.
After a power outage, it takes a bit to get it back as the audio Source for my Fire TV.
Not sure why, but that makes it yet another nuisance.
Those things aside, it's a fairly decent soundbar AND might even be better than decent if I could've mounted it on a wall AND where I wanted/needed it.
