I waited for AGES before buying a battery bank. I never found all the features I wanted in one unit... until this one.
The features were:
- INSANE capacity (I wanted 20,000 mAH or more, this one is 26,800 mAH)
- Qualcomm QuickCharge support (this one supports QC 3.0 on the Green port)
- Med-High Amperage charging on all ports (Each port can push up to 3A)
- BONUS: Quick recharging of the power bank itself (Supports Qualcomm QC for input charging)
Three words cover it: THIS THING ROCKS!
Some might find the unit a bit heavy, but for me, that means build quality and capacity as-advertised. Quality 18650Li cells are not light, so you can tell you're getting the advertised capacity, where other packs skimp on cheap cells that lose capacity quickly over time.
This unit is packed with solid charging goodness and does not disappoint. It has a nice feel to it with what looks to be an anodized aluminum metal casing with recessed plastic endcaps. Classy and Professional. The included carry-pouch seems well-made, well-ventilated, and is slightly spongy, which helps with minor bumps and making sure the casing doesn't get dinged up. It also has enough extra space in the pouch that I can bring the included charger and my universal USB cables along for the ride.
The charge indicator button is divided into 10% increments, which I find extremely helpful as most powerbanks only have 4-5 LEDs, leaving you to guess in 20-25% increments how full the bank is. On this unit, I can tell if I have 1 or 3 charges of my phone left in the tank, and that matters A LOT!
All the Qualcomm QC devices I've tried (Note 4, Note 7, S7 Edge, Galaxy S3) have all recognized the QC support and charged as well as they did off their factory QC chargers on AC power. Roughly, that translates to 80% charging in 45 minutes (QC screenshot attached).
Using my Kindle Paperwhite I confirmed USB current draw of 500mA with no problem, as expected. Then I plugged in my sister's collection of iWidgets and saw 3A pulls on all ports simultaneously, as advertised. After full charges of all the devices, I checked their rated battery capacities against the charging indicator and noted that the Powercore's indicator was pretty close to dead-on with how much power should have been consumed by the charging cycles.
The Powercore+ 26800 can get a bit warm when QuickCharging with the included AC adapter, but that is to be expected. At no point did I ever consider it to be "hot". Advertised QuickCharge time was about right, and slow charge off a 2A charger also seemed correct to the 30% mark (by the indicator lights), before I got impatient and QC'd it the rest of the way so I could actually get back to using it again!
In conclusion, in no way am I disappointed with my purchase, and that does not surprise me coming from Anker. Everything promised was delivered with style and professionalism, and at I price I consider to be reasonable for the feature-set. Sure, cheaper 20,000mAH units are out there, but they are just that... cheap. They charge slow, the usable capacity is over advertised, and they look like rejects from a comic book. You definitely get what you pay for.

First off, this power bank isn’t suitable for everyone. I would say that this power bank is ideal for heavy mobile users. This power bank is quite heavy, and big compare to smaller ones, but in exchange, you get a longer lasting and quicker charging capabilities from this power bank. As I am a heavy mobile user, I do not mind the size and weight of it and focus more on the build and the functionality of it. Therefore, users like me are much more suitable for this power bank.
This power bank comes in the box with an Anker wall plug, a micro USB cable, and the power bank itself. The power bank is a little heavy, but that means you are getting a premium build quality and capacity as advertised. As an ex-vape user, high-quality 18650Li batteries are heavy but reliable and long lasting as well. That way we know that it is better than their competitors as many tend to use cheap batteries to cut cost and in the process, loses the durability as well.
This power bank does pack a punch as it contains 26800 mAh which is enough to charge an iPhone up to 9 times. This power bank does not also just come with long battery life, but it also comes with fast charging by using the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. Although it does not have much effect on an iPhone, the 3A output still charges the iPhone faster compare to charging it normally. However, if you do own an android phone that does support Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, you could charge up to 80% in 45 minutes time.
The charge indicator is divided into ten increments, which is split into 10% each. This helps a lot when trying to determine the battery life percentage of the power bank as I find most power banks only have 4-5 increments which translate into 20-25% for each light. It makes much difference knowing your power bank can charge full one time or 3 times.
I have also included pictures to see how big it is. The first picture is a picture of me holding the power bank, and the second one is beside a Bose QC35 headphones as a side by side comparison.
In conclusion, I have no regrets in purchasing this power bank. It is still one of the most worth purchases that I have ever made. Everything was as promised and there haven't been any issues with it for as long as I have been using it. Although there could be other cheaper ones, they are not as quick and as reliable as this power bank.
