My only complaint is that the online is quite laggy for the Switch, so just be prepared for that. Otherwise, I really enjoy the games included in this collection! An awesome trip down memory lane.
With that being said, it works with the 4 buttons just fine, it's just a bit of an adjustment. This collection contains a ton of extra content. In addition to the 12 Street Fighter games there is also a museum with development artwork, never before seen artwork, and notes about where it all came from. It's a really great collection for anyone who loves Street Fighter and I can't recommend it enough.
We never plan to play online so that feature doesn’t concern us.
THE BIG LET DOWN...button mapping. You can't button map the 3K or 3P buttons, and hitting all three at the same time pretty much never triggers. This makes A LOT OF MOVES IMPOSSIBLE. You also can't bind an option for P+K combinations for throws in 2. This would be incredibly helpful for mobile play on the go. But nope.
As to fidelity for the Joy-Cons...it's abysmal. Basically worthless. So playing on the go is frustrating and annoying at best. You can't utilize the wonderfully tight controls that took over a decade to design. What a waste
The only reason it gets three stars is the historic nature of this collection. You can read up on history, enjoy sprite animations and get a feel of the scope the series laid out for fighting in general.
Lots of props for looks, but the horrible keymapping, depressingly poor joycon control and a laggy experience creates a shadow over this otherwise essential collection of amazing fighting games.
