Our dogs love to charge the door and bark at anyone they can see outside. This anti-bark device quickly catches their attention and is definitely a bark deterrent. We had one and the battery ran out and it wouldn't work anymore, but I did not hesitate to order another one from this same company because it's a good device.
Doesn't help with our 80 pound bernedoodle for some reason, but the small dogs are responsive to it!
A green light flashes when you hit the button so you will know it's working. If I point it toward my ear I can hear the high pitched sound but my husband cannot.
The device has a good wrist strap so you can carry it around easily when needed.
