I wanted to like the Gov a lot more for an exclusive, but compared to a prison yard rick, or a bloody Maggie or Glenn, He falls a little short for some reason. The box came in great shape, but the paint has some minor flaws. He is out for display so it is nothing super noticeable unless you have a collector with a sharp discerning eye. Over all he is very well detailed, and the bloody gauze on his eye is a nice touch, but he just does not seem as menacing as he should feel. Standing next to Prison Yard rick, he just does not match up!

Overall, I am happy to add him to my collection, but looking forward to scooping up the one with the full eye patch instead. That will have to be my consolation price for missing out on the gentle giant governor edition with the eye patch!

PS, I believe if I am not mistaken, there is a common production error on all if not most of these, check out the side of your box. On mine, Governor, is spelled GOVENOR!!! no kidding. Don't know if it adds or takes away from the value, would depend on how many errors that are out there for box lettering.

quality control has been an issue for funco lately, and this is no different.

i have been building a collection of Funko POP! figures and i absolutely love them. In fact every POP deserves 6 stars.

BOTTOM LINE (for more info read below): if you plan on collecting these in their boxes BUY THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I have put this as a 1 star rating because of amazon's handling of these products. As a collector, the condition of the packaging is extremely important. Inside almost every order of these that were "Shipped by Amazon" there have been at least one that arrived in UNACCEPTABLE condition which needed to be returned. Many others were slightly damaged, but in acceptable condition. In one case the figure was put into a box that was too small and literally squished into it by whomever sealed the box.

Every other place that i have bought these from have arrived in mint condition. This includes toy store websites as well as internet auction sites.

The actual figure itself is great, I can't fault it. It is a solid and robust figure and is exactly what I was expecting.
The Amazon box it arrived in however looked like it had been run over by a truck. The box was split down two corners and taped back up and the product was wrapped in newspaper.
If you collect these and don't have it yet it's a must. The box may very well have been kicked around during transit so there's not much anyone can do about that.
